Just to confirm, will this booster fit a 1978 fj40?. Again thank you for your help.

Absolutely. It'll fit '76 to 8/'80, which are the years with the dual diaphragm boosters in the Unites States. It'll also work for any 40 series trucks from prior years that has undergone a disc brake conversion.

You know, a good marketer provides sneak peeks along the way. Just sayin.....

:crybaby:

It's certainly interesting to see the effect of these revived unobtainium parts on the eBay market. I used to see junk fuse boxes and rotted intake hoses go for obscene amounts of money. Those days are pretty much gone. Prices for used up single diaphragm boosters have also dropped. We shall see what happens to those rebuilt dual diaphragm boosters with Buy-It-Now prices of over $400.

New Brake Booster? :clap::clap: Yaaaaaa!

Now, what to do with the Centric rebuild sitting in the box waiting for my rebuild (and waiting to cause me pain and frustration)?

[Runs off to eBay....]
Keep your U-bolt. That's the only thing you'll need to transfer over to the new booster.

Many of the NZ cruisers were complete knock down (CKD) units assembled at the Toyota plant in Thames. Some of the components were manufactured locally (such as the front seats and the jump seats) and therefore these are unique in the world, and one could argue rarer!
Except that they are pretty rubbish quality and finish compared to US versions. I refer directly to the seating as we missed out on the moulded seat back panels and sliding drivers seats etc.

I don't need a booster, but was thinking about getting one for when I do. I'm in

What about a floor mat? I thought those were a Disco item.............Me needs one. Haven't seen one in a while, but I read where some NICE INDIVIDUAL may, just may, possibly, it's been hinted at, spoken about, and mentioned that a reproduction was in the works? :meh:

Seeing is believing......"teaser pic perhaps?" :clap:

Booster me, too. And Mat me, too, probably ...
