Don't think that is OEM? I looked through all my pics and not one FJ40 I have a pic of has that plate.

It is my understanding that it was an early FJ-55 thing.

In the past, I had ordered the ignition switch for a 1971 FJ-55 and it arrived with a large, double-sided Toyota key in that switch assembly, with that plate.

Thanks for the insight Steve. I ordered it from SOR a decade ago and it came in a sealed Toyota bag.

I’m considering running the faceplate on a newer switch on my 45 project but haven’t decided. Thought it would be cool but if it’s not a 40 thing maybe folks wouldn’t be interested.

Any update on the outer sash and run? I'm just finishing my 83 LX restoration and I'm in dire need of these pieces.

The run is in production, so may be ready within a month. The outer sash unfortunately will require another iteration. We need to remove a few centimeters from the length. It's what happens when you don't have a Troopy on site to test with.

Rog glad you clarified that on the floor mat. Wish the one for the ‘78 had the logo....

If the logo bothers people we'll take it out :p
This one will be a more limited run, so the current thought is to build the logo in per asking.

Ohh...can we ask for a run of the earlier mats with the "TOYOTA" now too? :bounce: I've been on the fence on that one but would definitely buy one if it had the 100% original look. I assume I'm not the only one in that boat.

Sorry, didn't mean to open up :worms:. The '73-'78 mat will not be revisited for a number of reasons. It's not trivial to reinsert the logos because it affects the grid lines. Also, as previously explained, older trucks are more numerous and it'll be difficult to fly under the radar.

Who's gonna tell 'em.

You?:)

I was under the impression it was illegal to do without authorization. Also, I would not tell them but these aftermarket Toyota parts are not hiding somewhere. They are clearly in internet stores etc.. for anyone to see. Personally, I really do not think Toyota would make a fuss and maybe even approve.
