Course the Grand is still in the shop so lets plan for some time early next year, the gunsmith should have the barrel installed sometime in the next couple of weeks.

The front top venting makes quite the rooster tail when fired at night.

Awesome, and the text best example of "hand cannon". Oh yeah bring it, I have a Ruger Black Hawk in 30 cal carbine, I keep it just for the light show when fired at night the flash will light up the immediate area, better than fireworks. Course it's not ported so it all goes down range but still quite the show. This could be leading up to a very fun shoot. I do have a 45-70 that's ported but it's not that impressive from a light show aspect but that thing sure will give you a massive push(don;t like the term kick) you will know you fired the thing for sure. With this list of boomers we both better remember our ear plugs!!!!

Anyone have a 78 rpm record player I could borrow? My wife got these from her grandmother 20 years ago and I'd like to listen to them. Maybe record a few. I have a Thorens but it only plays 45 & 33. I have to manually spin them to hear them.

I inherited a stack of about 100 records from my grandfather's old radio station WSFT in Thomaston, GA. I recently found a record player on WOOT made by Pyle. It wasn't expensive and it plays 33, 45 & 78. It looks vintage but its just made that way. It also has a small internal speaker and amp, so you can listen to it without plugging it into anything else. Best part is that it has line in, line out and USB out to PC. You can use Audacity to record/convert.

Full retail looks like $150-200, but I'm sure you can find something similar for less than $100. I think I paid $80 on woot. Pyle and Crosley are the only brands I could find that still make 78 speed that aren't super high-end turntables. The other thing you need to know is that there are special needle cartridges for 78 records (I think they are a bit wider).

If you haven't heard, Bobby Long passed away. Although I never knew him or got to talk to him I felt like the kid that wants the big bike up on the rack for Christmas. I've always thought that once I got my cruisers in good shape I would look at the long fields for the 40. No other LC product has this affect on me, I think it's the simplicity of the birf and axle vs something like an ARB, that makes me feel this way. I hope the best for his wife and family.

Chuck then you will never have longfields as we all know your cruiser will never be in good shape.

I am casually looking for another vehicle around 6-8k max! Prefer 4door truck that we all could get in but i have to drive it everyday so 18-20mpg is a must! Would love tundra but mucho dinero! Any thoughts!
