This past winter I was in the Linville Gorge wheeling on total ice roads with an F250 and a DII Rover. I literally almost killed myself by sliding off a really steep part of a FS road. That is the closest I ever come to thinking I was dead and it happened so fast I didn't have time to panic until a few days later. I saved the slide by flooring the gas after trying twice to brake. The F250 dove into the uphill ditch to save themselves and the DII stopped short. It took us about 2 hours to get everyone turned around and to perform a double winch pull on the F250 to get it out of the ditch.

Right when we were about ready to head home another rig drove past us like the ice was nothing - a Suzuki Sidekick. An FJC, a DII and a F250 got whipped by a Suzuki Sidekick. And if I had been in my LandCruiser (55) I would have been dead.

I for one am tired of all the My rigs better than your rig, heep, fake jeep, rice burner, fjc's arent real landcruisers and all the other crap. Yes I love my 40 and always will , however I get irritated at all the bs people like to throw around. I couldn't care less (nor would any other reasonable person) what you drive as long as your out enjoying yourself and doing it responsibly. I will gladly wheel with anybody, and will alway be willing to help out anyone who needs it on the trail. And yes if somebody in a Jeep waves at me in my 40 I wave back.

It's a chat thing, you don't get it yet. Plus I owed Steve a jab from GSMTR, John thinks he's cool, Steen wishes he had a 40, and JP is my cheerleader.

Yep... I have one :D

Far from a corvette motor though... running on "F" power. 0-60? Yes.

Don't try to pass your daughters rig off as your own.:)

I think he is still recovering from getting owned by his daughter in the time trials at GSMTR :grinpimp:

Yea, I got owned like 30 others... believe me, she reminds me of it. Told me she really didn't need to take driving school to get her license now.

I begged to differ with her on that, and the title is still in my name!

Just tell her she can pay for her own insurance if she doesn't.
That should change her mind!!

I how you're not planning on giving her the 40 to drive. No way will you be able to keep the boys away if she has the coolest rig in school. Not without an automatic weapon on the mantle next to that trophy.

The difference with the automatic weapon is that I'll be holding it. Idea is that they'll be running, but in the other direction. :grinpimp:

Blew the head gasket in the 80 this morning. I guess it was due after 260,000. Ralph Hayes here I come.

They have a new service manager. Larry. He replaced Greg.

That's about as good as my luck lately. I have been trying to finish my backyard for a month and my backhoe keeps blowing hydraulic seals. I guess they have reached there lifespan.

They have been blowing cylinder seals one at a time for the past week, so today I dropped it off to have all 6 remaining cylinders rebuilt and any suspect hoses replaced. If anything else breaks on the backhoe now, it is coming off and a bush-hog is going on in place.

I swear a backhoe bucket takes the most abuse of any piece of equipment that I have owned. They are a blessing to have when you need to dig a stump or trench, but a pain to keep up.

ouch. So you'll be driving the 40 to work for a couple days... no A/C... bag of ice on your lap.

Yep going to be a hot ride in the afternoon. Guess I need to work on getting the A/C installed in that thing.

Such a girl, try driving my 40 in hell with a hot V8 blowing air all over your feet through open firewall holes.

I do it for fun though, because the 40 is so much cooler looking than my Taco.:grinpimp:

Plus I love being told that's a sweet Jeep.
