How is this product doing and is there any news on support for the 93-94 Cruisers? Did anyone on here buy into this solution? And how has your experience been?

interested here as well... I noticed EMS site is down so i cant check out this tuning setup. is it a piggyback or is it an ECU replacement like the wolf?
Ems is for all intent and purposes out of business. It was a piggy back setup and it sucked. Not recommended. But if you want to try it, I still have it in my garage and will sell it cheap lol

Lol, ya thats not what i would be looking for. I guess ill keep doing research. I still havent bought a truck yet... when a real nice '97 in sage comes along within a days commute of me here in houston with F&R lockers ill be in this awesome FZJ80 club with you bro's.
Well darn. Anyone got a line on the next best thing to tune a 1fz-fe for the 93/94 model years? Without spending a grand on engine management and grand on a transmission controller and a grand on locker control and a grand on....
You don't need to do anything about the transmission controller or locker controller. All you need is the standalone to do fuel and ignition
Are you sure? I was under the impression that the TCM took inputs from the ECU to help shift and control the transmission. Why do all the 4bt guys need a transmission controller if not?
they need a trans controller because the stock tcu is programmed for shift points based on the 1FZ power curve and working rpm ranges. it would not be ideal to use a substantially different motor then keep the same transmission programming from the last motor.
Yes 4bt hits the rev limiter before the stock TCU would tell the A343F to shift. So it does not work. I am positively sure. I am doing it. 
And let me expand on this a little.
When you are using the standalone you are not pulling out the old ECU. You are running the standalone in parallel with the OEM ECU. The standalone is only controlling fueling and timing, everything else is still controlled by the OEM unit.

I will indeed start a thread of my own. I recently saw a clean lx450 pop up for sale in Austin. I'm still a little ways away though. My buddy says he has a new 61mm turbo he'd give me but I fear it's far too large for my application. I looked into a mechanical 4bt conversion but I don't think it will be easy to maintain the ac system if I were to convert to a 4bt or 6bt
61mm would be small for 500awhp on this motor. The turbo's I recommended are:
Garrett
GTX3582 is 62.5mm
GTX4088 is 65mm
BW EFR
8374 is 62mm
9180 is 68mm
Precision Turbo
6466 is 64mm
6766 is 67mm
The 61mm turbos like the Garrett GT3582 are only rated for 675hp given the drivetrain loss you would be lucky to get 450-460awhp.
