Does anyone know of a place that sells the powered running boards that extend and retract based on if the door is opened or closed. I see a place out of Australia that makes them for the 79 series, Power Boards [Pair] - Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series, thick board, LED light (1984 - Current) - Clearview - https://www.clearviewaccessories.com.au/product/power-boards-pair-toyota-landcruiser-79-series-thick-board-led-light/

and I've seen some for the 100 series, but I can't find anything for the 80s.
Has anyone done this?

Thanks

I made my own brackets for just a short step section , rather than the whole length.

I started with a set made for an f150 I think. But with the tapered frame, the rearmost bracket is under the front door. That's a lot of overhang for rear door coverage.

Here's some pics. Disregard the 60 body🤪

You'd have to find someone willing to take on the project.

Yes. Maybe the most valuable addition to my shop.

Corky, maybe the width of the 80 body would allow that bracket to be a little further back. But thats the limitation that keeps them out of the market, i believe.

Thank you all. I'll keep that in mind. I'm pretty good at fabricating. This mod is further down the list, but I want to see what options there are.
