+1 on this. I've always been surprised by the lack of aftermarket front tube bumpers for the 100, especially considering the number of options for the 80.

Looks great Shaggy. I usually think most tube bumpers don't work well on modern vehicles because they leave so much wiring, radiators, etc exposed and it looks bad. Your combination of plate in just the right spots makes it look very clean. Just the right amount of plate, and right amount of tube.

That is awesome man looks great! I love the detail and thought process you put into it. I more or less have a question about solidworks if you dont mind. What version are you using and how did you learn to use it and to scale? Was it fairly easy? (something you can teach yourself?) I recently got an employee discount on the software and want to make the purchase. Thanks in advance, and can't say it enough but great work!
Solidworks is and EXTREMELY powerful cad program that can design just about anything and then test it. I am self taught on solidworks. The program has amazing tutorials that teach you everything in the program. You will pick it up quick and continually get better and faster the more you use it. If you have a chance to buy the program at a discount jump on it. A standard license runs about $5k and up from there. I am currently using the 2012 version with all of the add ins. before you use the program ensure you have a hardcore graphics/ gaming computer to run the program on so that it will run smoothly.

Great build. Nice to see a real tube bumber that doesnt have a ridiculous hoop on the front, or stick out 3 ft past the grill. Nice, simple, functional & slimlined...the way they should be.
Looks pretty good for a tube style bumper. You definitely have a talent for fab work. Personally, I prefer a bigger bumpers looks and angles still though. That said, it looks like there is a significant market for your tube bumper. I wonder if it is as strong as a bigger slee/arb welded plate bumper. Have you done any winch testing with it?

And yeah its a massive discount as we are quite a largo company, and also thanks to the company I have a i7 vPro Elitebook, in which I run some other programs that require a nice graphics card. My job is for computer analysis systems so I am pretty excited to take on a new computer program. Thanks again. Bumper looks great man!

Thanks, I am pretty confident that it is on the same playing field as far as strength is concerned when compared to a fully boxed plate style bumper. The center section alone is well overbuilt and arguably stronger than other plate type bumpers on the market. That extra strength is not needed, however, in certain cases it might help. That extra bulk also helps keep the front end of my vehicle down when loaded up.
When you say winch testing, do you mean casually using the winch, real world usage or stalling out the motor? I have only used the winch to test its clearance while sitting in the bumper. The winch cradle and its supports are built in such a way that the whole bumper (and vehicle frame) would have to bend or break out of the way for failure to occur. In a nutshell you would have to destroy the whole front end of the vehicle for the winch cradle to fail. Before you reach that point, either the shear pin in the proclip would break, the line would break, or the 4 3/8" bolts holding the winch on would shear.

Is it bolt on? That's a must have as I'm not comfortable cutting my cruiser up as others might be.

It's obviously personal preference but for whatever reason I really prefer the look of tube bumpers to the bigger, bulkier looking boxed plate bumpers. I really like it! I'd definitely consider one based on price.
