The "C" in Coastal hurts my wrist. Please cut it off. :) Nice work, thanks for documenting it.

Few updates, finished welding and smoothing out the bumper. I decided to paint the bumper in two parts backside then front. I shot house of color surfacer then sealer and then some single stage silver. The silver is a contrasting color to the lc silver and it just looks off being close but not close enough. So we’re leaving now to pick up some black to mix in and go for a full contrast look

Ok so we went to the paint store and ended up picking an amethyst gray (Nissan color 😱) and we are extremely happy with the color. Sanded, primered, based and clear coated today 👌. Could I have dragged it out a few more days doing body filler and sanding between coats? Yeah but I didn’t want to! I’m drowning in projects so I knocked it out and happy with the finished product.

I also got the driver fender tweaked back to its original position and installed new corner/marker lights. And we ordered up some amber fog lights.

Side note the hood on my sequoia was peeling clearcoat real bad so I scuffed it up and shot it with clear as well just to seal it up and make it look a little better 🤷‍♂️ The paint on the bumper looks really good in the sunlight. I will post pics tomorrow of it on the Land Cruiser

Mounted the bumper up, also pulled the plastic fender wells out and cleaned all the dirt out. Also “persuaded” the pinch weld into a flat low profile so it won’t rub the tire. Final thoughts on the bumper kit. Instructions were THOROUGH. 20+ pages to walk you through each individual step. Top notch. Quality was excellent, would definitely do it again. We will be purchasing the rear bumper probably towards the end of this year. Used a full pint of paint on the bumper. Winch will happen eventually. Hope you enjoyed 🤙

Good work! Are you going to install a winch/which one?

Yes definitely, probably a badlands or Smittybilt 9500. Coastal offroads directions say 9500 is a definite fit and larger winches may not fit depending on the model. This truck wont see a lot of heavy wheeling but im sure I’ll get it stuck somewhere I shouldn’t be 😁

If you decide to go with a Badlands winch, I make a 3D-printed control box for sale. I have a thread for it here.
