Ok here is the next rendition. File is out. I am still looking into adding a small cutting blade. I have a feeling it will cost too much so I will likely not include that. I think I can include everything else. I was looking at add in a small LED for a test light because that seemed like a good idea. I'm still considering it...kinda. The thread gauge isn't exact, merely representative. Reminder, the darker gray areas are being machined down.

Thoughts?

I def like the changes you've made so far. What the little notch next to the bits suppose to be for?

Also not sure if you've seen this clever little product? It's kind of spendy but you might be able to glean a little inspiration from it.

Leatherman Tread™ - Travel Friendly Wearable Multi-Tool

I personally liked the idea of a serrated edge and could have envisioned myself using it more than the thread gauge, but that's just me. Still looks great, though!

Could you add a slight bevel to the ruler edge to make a handy back-up ice scraper?

I don't like the pouch either but a good compact tool roll is something I've been looking for for years. Some rolls lose their wrenches and drivers as they slip out too easily
The good rolls have an extra flap that lays over to prevent this when rolled.

So it's funny you mention this. I've been going back and forth on this because there really aren't THAT many different bolt threads.

I thought you already were the resident handy tool for 80s.

:hhmm:

Here is the thread/screw gage I found in my shop. I like the black painted reverse with the slightly raised border. For swag, I have always like this Zippo nail file/ blade I rec'd from ALCO Controls from my days designing a/c systems.

The thread gage seems unnecessary. I'd rather have the saw edge.

I wouldn't want a knife on it. I carry 3-4 knives in my 80 at minimum.

While you have the laser etcher warmed up etch some 80 specific specs onto it. Hell I often lift my hood to look at the oil filler cap before I go into the parts store to buy oil so I get the right grade. (Old Bastard Syndrome is really starting to kick in)

Also seems like lots of little sharp things to be swinging around your 14mm nuts probably gonna need a Kangaroo scrotum bag from Oz or similar sturdy skin from a rare beast to cover the sharp stuff...with a tooled in logo because as we all know cost is no object when your buying 80 series gear.
