Have you ever seen the professional wrenches where the flats of the box end are actually slightly curved? It makes the wrench have contact with the flats of the bolts, instead of rounding off the corners.

Yeah that's nice, but does it tell time?

Sure as long as you position it right. :flipoff2:

Yes and I've been considering changing what I have to match. I have all of two Snap-on wrenches (both 12mm) and I looked at it last night. Since this was a test run I figured I didn't really want to hold it up while I figure out the arcs. I'll play.

Well, a couple of things:
• Need to give some more thought into the curved opening that @ToyotaDon mentioned above
• Need to figure out the best way to capture the bands that hold in the bits
• Need to accept the fact that these will likely be painted (black of course)
• Trying to play with adding very small flat driver edges was fruitless and probably unnecessary
• I think I need to trip down the verbiage on the back so that I can add in grease types as well

Attached is the front design and the rear first attempt. I will still do a torque chart if I can find a condensed one.

• The black will likely be paint
• The white lettering will be laser etched
• The material will be stainless steel 304
• The darker grey areas will be machined edges
• There is now a file and a saw
• The Wits' End logo can be replaced with a club/association/vendor logo

Man I love these Vessel bits. Now that I have all the sizes ready to go I'm going to do one more proto run to see if I've foobar'd anything else.

Have you tried an o-ring on the notch of the bits yet?

The text is great and IMO paint is fine. One observation of the text however... what vehicle is this for?;) Everyone on this thread knows but it would be nice if it was called out. FZJ80, 80 Series LC, etc. Sometimes the forest is lost because of the trees:)

Keep up the good work and I'm approaching the "take my money, dammit" stage.

Yeah I realized that at lunch today. The back side will get model specific nomenclature and imagery. I just need to draw it out. I'm also going to organize the list a little better so that quick scanning works better.

Are you differentiating between the mighty 3FE and the 1FZ-FE?!?!

I really like that you decided to enclose three hexes.

Yeah its not a good enough tool unless they are. The 304 is still fairly soft.

I had a hunch that would be the case. I'm pretty sure I mentioned something earlier in the thread even. ;)

I like how you include a chamfered edge. Is that for scraping the residual Head Gasket material off the block on a 1FZ-FE?

I already have an idea for the 3FE one. I'll pm you. Top secret!

all it has is a bottle opener, doesn't it :P

Will you make a version for the 1HD-T motors as well (text specific), or are you only planning on doing the NA available stuff due to lower market size?
