IED in Afghanistan or black ice in Alberta?? Yup, not much.

So you were towing wrecks both ways. So what is the engine in that one, I presume why you got it?

1hz in it now. It is getting pulled and Gturbo'd and inter cooled and planted in the troppy.... if only it were that easy.

Day late on that one, called the guy last week and he said some people were picking it up this weekend..

Good luck with the project..

After losing the last engine I was glad to get this one home. It was a bit of a trip to retrieve it but still worth it. Hope it all works out!

Cant wait to see the "new" assortment of parts/trucks at your place. Lets see some good tow rig pics!!! Youve covered some big miles with that baby in the last month. Im sure the delete is great

Well spent some time in the garage over the last few nights. The parts 77 is on the hoist and I've been going crazy stripping what's left off this thing. I've also gone wild pulling bolts everywhere to build up the metric fastener assortment.

The engine is now ready for extraction. I think all the connections are off it fluids drained and its ready to pull.

I pulled the fan and timing belt cover. Looks like I need a belt before to long. Ill do that and some other preventative stuff while its out. Ill swap beb on it since the turbo adds some stress there. The ac compressor is off and potlatch is snagging that. The good news is it looks like my old air comp will mount to the mount as its the same as my 2h.

Next I pulled the power steering box, fuel filter/primer assembly and brake master. Ill likely use all those on the troopy.

So hoping to steal and engine crane tomorrow and get this motor out. Then I can skid the body out and start working in the motor a bit more.

Then the tranny swap needs to happen. Looks to be a big but doable job...

Jason gave me some cool inspiration at last nights Christmas party

Well snagged that engine crane and Charla pulled my engine. ;)

Then I pulled the console shifter and stuff

Bad news is the tranny swap I had planned is likely to much trouble so I'm looking at buying all new stuff to adapt trans now... :(
