Not exactly sure

I'm not too sure. It was originally bought 3-4 years ago by a friends intended to run on his 13bt. When I emailed Gturbo about using it on my 1HZ he said it would be the same spec but that this turbo likely had a higher waste gate setting of 18psi versus the 15psi he normally set for the 1hz. Hoping that on my day off on friday I can get the engine re-assembled.
New BEB installed
New water pump
New Timing belt
New Tensioner
New rear main seal
Than start cleaning it for a whizzy paint job.

I'm thinking light blue... seems to be close to toyota factory colour.

Finally some real progress. Last night potlatch was over an helped me change beb. Also did timing belt and drilled and tapped block for turbo oil drain. Last but not least was a new rear main seal. Thanks to Paul this went pretty smoothly. I'm not a precision engine work guy yet I typically bend to fit and dent to match.

Today I ordered more parts:
Detroit locker
4x4labs high steer
4x4 labs spindle kits for swing outs
Various Sammy bits for my little samurai

Also managed to get oil pan cleaned and re installed. Next was fly wheel and clutch install. I didn't have an alignment tool so I eyeballed it as best I could and found some bolts to get the new clutch and disc bolted in place. I had installed and new pilot bearing and went to install a new release bearing by 4 wheel sent the wrong one. My old one looks and feels good so I used it.

I then managed to get everything bolted together as one unit. So I have a real deal driveline now. Still waiting on black bOx but I hope it ships next week. Once it is in ill be able to finalize the driveline and get serious about yanking the old and placing the new!

New hair dryer is mounted. Had to switch up the clocking so it matched the hz vs the 13bt but it was bad to do. This is all test fitting prior to cleaning and paint

Any more word on the BlackBox?

Went for a visity to NWF, not much talk about the black box adapter but I am sure they could punch one out... they do have a lot on the go these days, boys should machine up a couple of plates and put them on the shelf.

My black box arrived and is sitting on the bench. I'm missing the plate to mount to trans but it was coming soon. This thing looks pure sex....I'll try and get some pics!

Well finally some more progress..... well sorta....
Last time I drove the troopy I noticed it didn't overheat like it normally did. I wasn't working it hard and was just tootiling around the neighborhood though. So last night I went for another hard drive and noticed it wasn't to bad again... hot but not overheating. The old rad had a leak in it so I thought maybe that was part of the trouble. I also had a cool lower rad hose but a hot engine. So it was sorta like the rad was plugged.

Next I yanked the HJ60 rad from my old 60.... to big to fit though.
I snagged a spare 40 series rad. It was a little smaller than stock and the inlet to the rad was on the wrong side. Luckily on this 2H the Thermostat housing is bolted down with a triangle pattern. I spun the housing 120* and was off to the races. The new rad was bolted in mostly re-installed the hoses and refilled it all up.

Test drive was pretty good at first. Engine didn't really warm up much at all and was low on the temp scale despite working it as best I could. I swung onto lily lake road to make my way home and opened it up on the highway. Reached 90km/hr and it was screaming at that speed. This thing is geared low on 31's.... Any way after a brief stint and maximum warp I pulled over to look things over.....it stalls. Hard to restart and slow cranking.....super odd. I get it going again and check for leaks and temperatures. Upper hose it hot but I can hold my hand on it which is WAY better than before. I'm pretty stoked and thinking this thing may be driveable and even inspectable in the near future. Hop back in a motor down the road. As I climb a hill, ok not a hill but a rise, in the road and the engine loses some power, some more power, all power and dies. As I roll to the side of the road I try bump starting in gear. This leads only to tire squeeling skid of the back end. Once it comes to a stop the starter won't even budge the engine.....seized solid.....

Then comes the call of shame.... Char got up and came a towed my ass home......

Checked the oil this morning in it and it was right up.. Not sure what hung up and froze this thing. I think it is officially dead.

The good news is I have a rad that can work!

...another boat anchor...
does that thing have a temp gauge? I'm thinking it cooked itself, bad something in the cooling system...probably the ginsen saddle

I had all sorts of overheating issues with my wagon, thought it was the electric fan, so swapped it, still no, tried a new rad, still no, so I figured it was the water pump, and the old one was on it's way out with a tough to turn bearing, but still worked, but as I was about to bolt up the new pump I noticed some stuff in the water passages. I pulled it out and there were a lot more, looked like an old water pump fins that had grenaded and were partially blocking the coolant from flowing properly. So flushed as best I could and bolted it up, seems I haven't had overheating issues since, although I am still running a high boost and need an intercooler to run better on the big hills on the highway pulling the military trailer.

Temp was down this go round. It did make some oil.... its about an inch up the dipstick from full. I'm guessing fuel in oil lowerering lubrication and grindy to a hault. Doesn't matter I had written the engine off anyway

Your totally right Deny, I cut open an old cracked 2H head and peeked inside the cooling passages. The casting flash and obstructions were nuts. Tons of obstruction all over.

Any word on the missing black box parts or should I wait til, Wednesday?

Parts are here. Just need some time and shop space to get set up for install. 70 series bumper builds are taking priority now ...

Started test fitting black box today...

Tore down t case and removed it all from trans
Test fit first 2 adapter plates
Spent some time measuring how much I'll trim the trans output
Discovered i was missing a bearing for black box
realized adapter prevents shifting into 5th
Called NWF...parts on the way

Also found a full manual front case half to i don't need to drill and tap the old vacuum one...stealing that half from Charla...shh
