Don't lower it, it looks perfect at that height. Once you add on all the accessories, and all the supplies it will drop some, then driving it for a few months with the heavy stuff on it will drop the suspension a bit as well. If you go down 2 inches then let it settle I would think after a year you may have tire rubbing issues with those larger tires.
what we can do is install the stock springs back on and sell the lift.
this will remove 2+ inches from the height. the stock springs are in excellent shape.
so, once we get everything done and reinstalled we will install with the stock ones then you make the call one way or the other.
yes, it is tall.
FB, spacers add the same leverage as a wider tire does. i have heard this ... concern ... over the decades but have never experienced it. i do know that a wide foot print can lead to the tire wanting to crown an uneven road surface. with the narrower tire with 2" offset is still a narrow foot print.
when the 35 fats were installed for the armor construction the tire seemed to fit very nicely under. i will be reinstalling the armor shortly and see how the tires look. if it looks goofy then the spacers go on. if not then a decision will be made at that time which way to go. i like the idea of wider base for stability.
Bruce, i did think about installing just wider axles but th eowner wants to be able to remove the armor if so desired. also this allows him to run wider tires if wanted by just removing the spacers.
this gives him the options he wants.
i got an email from the owner and he has decided to discuss running wider axles.
i will report up the ?final? decision.
cheers
