I'm getting someone to make me some beer for GSMTR to drink at Crawford's on private land. I will have the initials UC on it which stands for Up Chuck. It will so happen that it will be a cruiser themed beer with a red, white and black logo. Anyone is allowed to store their beer in my cooler and if you happen to get one of mine by accident I will be okay with it.

Now what kind of beer should I get my friend to make for me?

:beer::beer::beer:

I was thinking about one of these.

Amarillo Pale Ale - Normal pale ale with amarillo hops

Hefewiezen - Light wheat beer could also be flavored with honey or fruit

Rye Ale - A little darker with a unique flavor like Terrapin Rye Ale

Blonde or Witbeir - Usually flavored with orange or lemon zest like Blue Moon

Lager

Can you provide the refridgerator to keep it cold for the 5 weeks it takes to process the Lager?

I'd really like a simple beer. Something like an IPA or a regular pale ale. Nothing fancy. Is that possible? I don't like fruit or peanut butter in my beer. Unless the brew master can crank out a Negra Modelo with the hint of lime? lol

:beer::beer::beer:

Lagering takes more than 5 weeks, 3 just to ferment and condition and that needs to be around 55 degrees, but lagers need to carbonate and age much longer than ales something like 4-6 weeks minimum is recommended. So unless someone has a nice root celler under their house it aint happening.

That Amarillo pale ale would become a nice IPA with out much work, few extra ounces of grains, an extra hop addition in the boil, and maybe a light dry hop. :grinpimp:

mmmm beer... They all sound good, but if I had to choose, the Amarillo sounds good for that time of year.

Ok, I vote for beer, and for those in the know in SC to have a similar labeled bottle of harder stuff.

I'd fall off the wagon for a jar of that :hillbilly:.

I vote the Amarillo - agree with the Summer comments - that would hit the spot after a hot dusty day on the trail.

Labeled mason jar perhaps. :hillbilly:

Ale...

I hate you all. I vote that you send at least one of the beers home with Dan so I get one.

Thats funny, left over beer with this bunch....better have them store it away from GSMTR. How yall feeling?

wow!!! well crafted post by a true wordsmith :) Amarillo for sure. Beware, chuck might want 50% profit if it has his name on it.

Hey, we can store it at my house. I have a cold cellar in the basement for keeping things at a nice cool temperature. I promise I won't steal any ;).

And I am feeling just fine! Thanks for asking!

Now if you get sick from the homemade brew we at Upsate Cruisers also pack a pair of Attorneys. It's nice to know we can profit from either the Plantiff or Defendant.
