It was so cool going through all the buildings sort of
still standing! Back in school days my favorite subjects where always geography and history, so it goes without saying Colorado is a real treat!!!

Last batch from me.
At the end of the day on sunday it rained pretty hard at camp and the few left had a river going! Chris's sleeping bag turned into a water bed!

These last two shot wile going down 180/64 towards I40 -Arizona desert- after spending some time at Grand Canyon. Did the tourist thing this time since I didn't have too much time but I'm already starting plans for some time deep in the Canyon.

Looks like a great event that I should mark on my calendar. Really like all the great pictures.

One of the highlights of the trip for us was doing Black Bear pass. Awesome trail and beautiful scenery! The family was a little nervous with all the hype going into it, but honestly the trail was more bark than bite. Thanks goes to @paflytyer who expertly guided us down the trail and was an awesome spotter! FWIW, the most I ever did was a 3 pt turn.

Turns out, Stan had quite a bit of practice spotting some famous folks down BB a few weeks before, as you can see here in the Expedition Overland video. Skip to the 1:55 where you can see @paflytyer sporting the @nakman Gamiviti swag!

Thanks again Stan!

During the trip, I mentioned to some of you that my wife is a columnist for a paper (somewhat) local to us. She also has a blog where she posts her columns. The link below is to her blog that contains the column, summarizing her perspective of the trip, that was written for the local paper. Regardless of how it might sound, she really did have a good time; everyone needs to step out of their comfort zone sometime.

Fantastic! thanks for sharing.

Totally interested in doing this next year. My sister lives in Denver, so it would be a great excuse to drive out and see her. I just read that a fully stock (like mine) 100 can make the journey other than all terrain tires. This gives me a good excuse to buy some goodies for the hundy. Count me in for 2015!
