Last week it was the Navi. system and the week before was the front axle overhaul ,now this weekend it's the supercharger :D
I almost finished it before the Cruiser :princess: called for me to pick her up from the train station. I so far got about 7 hours into it and I have about a hour or so to go tomorrow as I have 1 more vacuum line to run and make the IAC and the TPS wires longer.
While I had it all apart I popped a new "T" stat in,new fan clutch, and a new waterpump from Cdan . I know Junks fan clutch crapped out and took a motor with it and Scamper lost a HG from a bad waterpump right after he did his so I replaced that too
I have a few extra new parts left over so far that I have no clue where they go and I will post pixs as to find out how important they are later
I the one thing I have noticed is my kit came with blue silicon hoses for the intake runner to plenum and from the throttle body to air cleaner houseing  .
The only problem I have run into was one of the studs on the supercharger was too long and would hit the S/C plenum chamber . This would not allow them to tighten together and wold most liky brake the chamber if forced
Also if it wasnt for George Scolaro's site http://george4wd.taskled.com/scharger.html Id still be trying to figure out where the last vacuum line goes (very good write up and helps with the little things)
I hoping to have it all done in the morning :D

Then I'll go out and see if 100k on the motor is too much for adding this little jewel and have the motor go  and me go :censor:

Damn man you work efficiently. I hope all the mods end up working well for you. When are you going to have pics of the navigation system?

Hey...congrats man! Welcome to the world of powa!

If you can't figure something out, give me a hollar...

And then there were TWO S/C'd LandCruisers in Hopewell, NJ... :D

Thanks Scamper
So far everything is going smooth :bounce:

Yeah, we want to see picture of that navigation. What kind of Navigation system did you install on your rig?

Make sure you reroute and tape up those IAC and TPS wires well. Remember my posts from last summer/fall.

Awaiting for TRD

I have been waiting for almost 3 weeks for TRD to sent the blower, where did you get yours? Ken at TRD has not been returning Dan's phone calls as to when the blower will be released abain. I have called EVERYONE and they don't have a clue, TLC 4x4 was saying that it was a computer and blower interface that they are waiting on, I called BS on the computer problem, I thought that it was the v8's? Where did you order yours form and when?
Oh by the way my 95 has 144k on it, yet I went the extra mileand replaced the HG, cleaned the injectors, cleaned the valves and replaced the valve guide seals. The HG was deformed on the front of cyl #1 not at all on #6 like everone else. I am a firm believer that I will not have any problems due to the extra check up and work. Once I get the blower ( someday, it has been ordered form Dan) I will either try water and meth injection or fabricate a aftercooler and maybe a smaller pulley if Dan will give up his sorce...
Good luck!

I got mine awhile ago (back in Nov or something but I just added it to the "to do" pile )
I picked up from a local dealer for a stupid price as it was sitting in the parts dept for almost a year and they wanted it gone even though it was almost fully paid for but the person never picked it up :D
The other place i saw them at was
http://www.toyotaparts4u.com/e_catalog/ and it was running $2,897 at this time but who knowes they maybe in the same boat as Cdan and need to order it from TRD

No electrical components involved in the 1FZ blower install. TRD did not get back with me before I left for Mexico but it should not be too much longer.

Hey Dan wheres the fish pixs :D
or did you have too many  and you were chumming for the others on the boat ;p

Its Done !!!

I finished it up this morning and took it out for a cruise.
Very nice it is :D
I havent beat on it yet but I only need a little pedal and off it goes . Very smooth .

The install took about 8 hours with hand tools as I didn't feel like using air tools and sort of like the peaceful sound of none of my brothers fxxxtard friends in the shop. If they were around I would have used every tool that would coverup the sound of stupid comming from their pie holes . Hell i would have used a air chisel to take the Vin plate off the block and the chop saw to cut the 1/4 inch off the stud on the S/C that was too long

Do you have to do any special tuning, remapping etc.. with the supercharger?

Thanks,
Rookie2

I think you got your point acrossed about how you feel about them... :D

Glad to know that the installation went smoothly and that everything seems to be in working order.

Now let's see some pics of your engine compartment, as well as your new nav. system. Tell your :princess: to get on it with re-sizing, eh? ;)

Whats with needing the Chickie to resize ?? You're tiny down there .. we all know that ! :flipoff2:

Now post some bloody pics ! I thought you were a tech of some sort .. and as such we expect a little more from you .

TY
