Yes we can, I did a lot of research and by the time I was done I figured it would be a 5-6 k swap. A $250 switch is easier to swallow.

hoping someone can help! am mid doing this mod and this little guy fell out, can somewhere tell me where it is supposed to go? do I have it in the right place?

Well it is fine with the turbo I don't know about the s/c. It is certainly a nice firm shift. Lilevo says he likes truck and wouldn't go any more firm. I like hot rod and would do it again. I think really it is just your call on how firm and how much clamping force you want. :)

Ok here is what I would do. Now this is not an official transmission rebuilder recommendation so take it with a grain of salt and also think about it since you have had your hands on the VB more recently than I have.

Those retainer pins go down in the valve body and fit into a notch on those pins. I would see if you can pull that small pin out and see if it has a notch for a retainer to even sit in. If it does not have a notch/groove than I think you are fine not having that retainer there. That pin might bottom out on the inside of the valve body. and might not need the retainer. Those instructions are for many different types of transmissions.

ok, I see why now they call it a retainer, I played with the other silver circles and they all move a bit inward in spring motion, this one is just a pin I think that is set in place permanently. The kit does come with an extra retainer but no reason to put it there as it is not helping to retain any shaft.

Guppie, you need to do Hot Rod with the SC so that I know for sure to do it or not :flipoff2:

I have been wrestling with this godamn sleeve for the past hour and it will not come out, I am not sure what to do at this point? I am begginning to mess up the pin. Only thing I can think of doing is scribing a line in it to help maybe screw it out? are these parts available individually?
