Picking this up to go on the cruiser as well. Supposedly a smittybuilt. Anyone going to Knoxville anytime soon?

Classic, you are going to look like me with kids piling out of the back. How would the headroom be with them that way?

Not sure but all of my kids are so small right now i am not concerned! 5 yrs from now maybe...

I live in Knox now and will be going back to SC on the 16th. Let me know if I can help.

Definitely interested in your help! Pm sent.

Got an uncle with some 31" BFG AT's he is willing to sell me for cheap. About 500 miles on them. I wanted to go with 33's but if the price is right!

Can't wait to see how that bumper looks on your 60 !! If you know of anybody looking for a frame, 2F, and a H42/t-case, I still have them for sale at a good price. Like the build and will definitely have to keep an eye on it.

I am starting to go thru withdrawals from the cruiser....

Well maybe thisw makes it a little better your cruiser is not alone, there is an ugly black 60 sitting near by they can console each other. :)

U kidding now it feels threatened!lol

What shocks should i look into? Got about 2" of lift. Cool cruisers has some decent looking ones at a good price but according to their website they will not fit if running stock springs even with 2.5" shackles!

If they will work I have a pair (2) of shocks from CCOT NIB.
I ordered them twice for my SOA before I lost all faith in their ablities/knowledge as they sent me the wrong shocks 3 times :bang:

they are listed on their site for 3-4'' lift for a 40
I dont even know if the mounts are the same between the 60 and 40 (EDIT.... looks like you got pin style on top front end)
heres a link.... let me know if they would work for you
http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/hfsshocks.html

they are fronts. Part number and specs here.
they do make pin to eye adapters but that takes an inch or so away from travel I believe, or rather lower the mount by an inch or so.
(2)HFS4055875 Front Shocks (Travel Range ext 23.12 col 14.25)

for comparison....CCOT has this listed for front lenghts on a 2-2.5'' lift 60/62
(Travel Range ext 24.90 col 14.81)

According to their description they are too long for use with stock springs. Same as with the actual 60 series also.

Well chuck it took all my time but finally got that nut off. Bought a socket for the other lock nut as well. Should have had the case separated today but did not happen!

So the old hunk of crap was dropped off and abandoned at my shop. So I did what any worthless person would do and I tossed everything in the back. Ripped out the old melted wire harness. Cranked up the pressure washer and gave the old bitch a bath inside and out. Pretty sure there has been a fire inside the engine compartment. Most likely why they cut all the wires. There was some really nasty stuff that flowed out the drain holes in the tub. Then hot wired the old hag with 3 wires and sat on a bucket and got her back in her hole.

Turned my attention to the non existent drivers door handle and the 2x4 holding the window up. For some reason the PO didn't know how to measure and filled the rest of the gap of the window with about 100 trash bags. The 2x4 had been growing mushrooms for some time. Once the door was brought back to life I acquired a donor harness. Threw it in the dishwasher and got it clean. Stripped all the old electrical tape off the harness and used 3 rolls tape along with several new and repaired wires.

Past couple days I've been reinstalling an 1985 wire harness into an 84 and you wouldn't think it would be that different but Mr T made a big change between those years. Needless to say the old slut is back running on her own wires and 75% of the electrical is done and the dash can finally start going back together.

That door handle excites me! That seat did turn out good to!

I like how the kid is instructing you the proper way to wash a wiring harness.

Gabe...where is your carpet?

No carpet!
