Doing a little TLC tonight and noticed the ground strap…..well ain’t doing it’s job !!! 🫤 I looked but couldn‘t see where the heck this thing was supposed to be grounded to. Can someone point out the other end attachment location and I would assume a thick piece of insulated wire ( like a battery cable size) with 2 fittings could be bolted in its place or is the strap type better ?

thanks for any help or suggestions

It goes to the body.. any body bolt is fine, just clean up the metal first - good bare metal for the cable to make contact to.

Hello,

There is a captive nut in the body close to where the transfer lever is.

You can bolt the strap there.

I see there is another ground strap from the left rear of engine to the firewall. Are there any other ground straps on the 70 series? Figured I’d inspect them all why I’m at it.
