On my summer adventures to COTR, LCDC 10, to points in CA and back, I purchased a trailer. At the time, I said to myself: "Self, future you is going to have a problem figuring out a storage solution. Sucks to be future me."

Now, the consequences of my own actions have caught up with me. Got the official notice that the trailer parked in front of my townhouse is a violation of HOA Bylaws. Its a tiny thing, the Eezi-Awn RTT is almost bigger than the trailer itself (minus the trailer hitch arm). If I had to guess, its probably 12' long by 6' wide. Maybe 6' tall at most.

Storage units in the Vienna/Tysons area are ridiculous. Looking for ideas on where to store this thing. Ideally... not far from Vienna (I hope that by making it easy to get away, I get away more frequently), but honestly, open to any ideas. I would even be ok with storage over the winter further away than the other seasons.

So... any ideas?

Just north of Leesburg

There's another place out near Hillsboro that does outdoor storage. Or used to.

How big of a garage type shed can you put in your yard? Might be worth it to look into one. I have seen 12 x 24 for 10k and use the rest for other things. $120 a month adds up fast and may not be as convenient.

I reached out to them and inquired about storage. I appreciate the lead.

Unfortunately, this would not work. No way to gain vehicle access. Even if I could, there is another bylaw about permanent and semi-permanent structures in the backyard.

I could buy you a couple months if you wanted to stash it at my place in Burke while you figure it out.
I really appreciate this. I have 15 days to reply to the formal notice of violation (I have) and 30 days to rectify it. I am pursuing an exception, maybe through using a cover to sidestep the bylaw, but I may need to ask in about a month if nothing else works out.

You can always store it at my place west of Harrisonburg Va. Further than you’d like for convenience, but you wouldn’t need to go far to use it

How big is it?

Where do the service industry employees park there junk in your area? When I lived in a town home in Leesburg the service guys parked there trucks and trailers on the street outside the complex boundary.
HOA suck!
I live in one but it is pretty relaxed. I’m not supposed to park my trailers on my property. But if you can’t easily see them from the road People doesn’t care.

Unfortunately, they do not store trailers. I have another one I am tracking, Vehicle Storage - Store it with Joe - https://www.storeitwithjoe.com/, and hope to hear from them soon. I am also trying to get a hold of Tysons Corner Mall. If anyone has any other leads, I would appreciate it.
Aaaand... StoreitwithJoe.com will not store the trailer.

Unfortunately, Fairfax County has a law/rule/policy about vehicles parked on the street. I cannot remember the specifics, I have had a car towed once in the past because I did not use it for a month... so its less than that. The service industry workers use their trucks every day, so they never actually exceed this policy. And we have had a homeless person living in their car and leaving trash around, so folks in this area are very sensitive.

The hunt continues...

Leave it hooked to your truck and take it everywhere. It’s not parked, it’s in use.

Snitching system:
Yet another reason everyone is moving west. And bringing this s*** with them! Enabling Karen’s everywhere.
