My original post was not ment to start a s*** storm. I was being sarcastic about the short notice. I dont know why everyone is getting their panties in a bunch. Cant we just HUG IT OUT ! :bang:

What's the big deal? Really there's a whole lot more to worry about.

x2

You want to go on a run - post up. You want a club run, but are not sure which trail or where to go, or are uncomfortable taking the lead - post up, someone will answer, or take the lead from there.

Post up - I want to go, my truck is such'n such, which trails do you guys think it can do, I'd like to go on such'n such day - it'll work... It just takes some initiative.

X2 again. I talk to alot of people that would like to go on a run but are waiting to see one get posted. Post up and they will come - he is right. Roll with it or make it happen - its all good.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled sarcasm :p

Just be warned that this is all contingent upon a last minute sickness by a family member which we have learned causes the said run to be called off in less of a notice than the actual run notice was posted. :censor:

Well now ^^this^^ is a cheap shot directed at me and my family.

Tony you can talk (and you do) all the smack you want about me, I dont care I just consider the source but when you bring my family in you cross the line!

Let it be known on this public forum you are NOT welcome on any run I post up and organize due to your insensitive remarks.

For those of you that don’t know my daughter (Mia) has medical conditions that keep her from a normal life. If this is a problem for you aztony then :censor: you

Mia suffers from Fibromyalgia <symptoms link
She also suffers from a rare condition called POTS < symptoms link
Due to her conditions she also has a 504 from school <information link
In spite of her missing 30% of school due to her conditions she takes all honors class and maintains a 4.0 average that we as parents are very proud of.
So yes we have cancelled family trips that I posted up because of her conditions. Most have been very supportive and understanding of her condition.

I would want nothing more then her and my wife to attend ALL the runs I post or go on.

It sucks waking up at 3AM hearing you kid throwing up.

That was from your posts in the past to run but you canceled because the only one going was someone that you do not like their company (from our conversation on the phone) so you canceled then went out any way. Sorry to hear you did not cry wolf all the time and there is a real problem. Your more than welcome to attend any run I plan on attending. ;)

It should be posted if it is a CSC run. It has been said many times at the meeting - post up if you have a run.

Agree 100%, all runs should be posted.

Sometimes runs are planned on short notice, when the opportunity presents, it happens. If this does't work for you, simply plan and post runs that fit your schedule.

Not all runs are stock, or family, or dog, or your type of equipment, etc, friendly. If this does't work for you, simply plan and post runs that fit your criteria.

Agree, family, work, etc, commitments come first over hobbies/wheeling, obviously, no need to obsess over it? I know of several who would have liked to wheel last weekend who were taken out by other commitments, it happens.

If you would like to wheel with others, post, if not, simply don't post.

In this case there was a planning post about wheeling over the holidays, it got little action.:o So the runs were "planned" to the wishes of those who were planning to attend. Unfortunately none who did the "planning" are mind readers, so it's incredibly difficult to plan for phantoms. Planning threads are exactly that, it's pretty simple, if you want to be included, post your preferences. It doesn't need to be complicated, something like, how about something on the east side on Sunday, or stock friendly, or suggest a trail, or whatever.

There should be some indication of trail difficultly in the post. I/we failed this time. A lot of times, for example Sunday, we didn't know were we are going, decided at the meet point and that changed throughout the day, basically wandered around. If someone would have showed up with a stock rig, would have gone places to accommodate. Lots of times have changed the destination to better fit the group that shows up, even at the meet point.

IMHO wheeling is better than working, if you have the opportunity, get out and enjoy! :hillbilly:

As usual you missed the point  SIASD

SIASD? Read your post and see your own missed point...

I never said I have led for this club, only for you on Log Corral so you knew which line to take or not to take. Leadership is a form of experience and that is something I am working on. If a non experienced person decided to one day take it upon their self to lead and others followed would be/could be foolish. Perhaps it could turn out successful but depending on the intended ride it could be a disaster. In my profession a leader is formed from experience and trust is developed by others before they follow. In my opinion I am not to that level of experience as an off road driver and continue to learn with each run I attend.

See you on the trail!! :steer: :D

It would be quite easy to make use of various SMS gateways out there and send a text to multiple people and/or quick batch emails if a last minute run comes up. Most every phone today can receive text, even the crappy not-so-smart phones, and the rest of the phones out there can get/send email if you take the time to set it up.

Just keep the messages clear, concise, and constructed, and a simple yes/no, or I'm in/out response should be enough.

Something like this might help with coordination in the future.

not a bad idea for those who have their phone constantly on - alas, I do not :hillbilly:

Lets be real no BS

Who is this "WE" that is spoken of planning runs? Is this the elite upper echelon of the club that decides if a run is post worthy to the masses? AKA officers without being named as officers in a club or elected by the club to decide runs?

This exact subject has come up in every club I have been involved with.

In reality most of the runs are beyond my skill level or risk level for my DD cruiser. If I break something serious that means I will have to drive the Scion, eekk, hell no.

Some runs are very short notice but that is still very, very cool that they are posted to the masses. I appreciate that, but most of my personal weekend planning involves arranging day care with grandma. If I was single no kid etc. I would most likely be there 100% of the time and CSC members are super cool on runs for noobs assisting in spotting etc.

I may be a noob in the club but I have attended the meetings I can. I live in El Mirage its not around the corner from QT, and rush hour is always a factor when coming from my side of town.

I do feel that I have contributed enough to have a say in matters. I have donated to the club my time, money, resources, and efforts. Even though I don't have lockers, I do have a sick ass stereo system that rivals any member.

If these "People who we do not speak of" are planning the runs why not make it more open if they are leading the club as officers. Being in charge of a club also bears a certain level of responsibility and burden to paying club members who join.

If you are willing to accept money than you are responsible to provide for the club majority not just your elite friends of non-elected officers.

Last meeting I attended the legal club officers on paper were Tools R US as President, Phil as VP, and Medtro as treasurer. Are these the people deciding club runs for the club and whats best for the club as a whole?

Lots of questions that need answered by the clubs leaders, and who are the leaders responsible?

I dont believe that you can seriously use the excuse anymore that this is a leaderless club without organization or officials. Because obviously that is not the case.

Sialic Acid Storage Disorder? You know, they renamed that gene; it's now called SLC17A5. :)
Soluciones Integrales Asesoría Soporte y Desarrollo? :hhmm:

Glad you can focus on things that matter in the club +1

I think this s*** is being taken too seriously. :crybaby:

If someone wants to go wheeling, go wheeling, if you want to go this weekend, check and see if anything is posted, if not, then post. :grinpimp:
