New update...
Tim (the OP) just called me and we had a good discussion.
He is very concerned with the quality and equally concerned with the packaging (duct tape aside, it could've been packed better).
He had Bruce (the engineer I guess?) on the phone with him and they promised to make them out of 14g and send me a set. We'll see, stayed tuned.

Bottom line is they seem to give sh!t about what goes out the door.

I received a set of fenders from them, comparing them to the originals that I bought the weight and panel gauge are very similar, they quality, I am going to try to install them over the weekend, I will post photos when I am finished, however the only issue is that the way they packed was really insufficient only bubble wrap, no damage on my fenders, however I will recommend that they may avoid issues with banged parts in the future by doing a better job of packing them, overall my impressions are of a quality parts, fitment will follow as ai install them.

Anychance you could put a thickness gauge on them? In my mind, significant parts should be at least of OEM thickness. My fenders are good and OEM and my 7yo daughter can stand on them without deflection. Curios if you would do the same with these? Not to bash TP at all, they do seem to care about producing quality parts, but I doubt a 19g fender could stand up to much abuse.

I bought a set of original fenders, and comparing to them the weight and thickness are very similar, they are heavy, once I bought a replacement part for a Civic that I had, and this are strong, may not be 16 gauge but not beer can thickness, When I pick them from floor they are heavy, not cheap made, fitting may be an issue, however that i will let this community know.

I got my floor pans today and I’m less than thrilled.
While I’m not going for a full restoration, things like significant panel replacement are important to me. Without putting a mic on these they feel thin. The packaging was half ass and this one pan I pulled out of the packaging was very rippled.View attachment 3260311View attachment 3260312View attachment 3260314
Now let’s see what it costs me to change my mind.

Ian

Hi Ian, I feel bad on this case. As I explained over the phone with you, it was our fault shipping out to you without properly packaged. As what I said, we are going to reimburse back to you all the cost, including that of shipping and parts, and will remake the floor pans in thicker materials and send you a pair for free once they are available. Meanwhile I instructed our production team to double check the material thickness of the OEM floor pans, and send me the comparison pictures. We learned it the hard way.

Moments after posting the previous post, I received a call from Jesse at TP Auto Parts. His primary question was why I wanted to return the floor pans.
My response was that 1) they are too thin gauge of metal to use as floor pans (I could literally flex them by pushing down with my hand) and 2) they were very rippled from something in their stamping process. I did gloss over the packaging as a first impressions type of concern as I really don't care if they reuse boxes and what not.

Anyway, Jesse was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned about these issues.

Resolution is that I have a shipping label in my inbox and a claimed full refund (purchase and shipping) coming my way. Solid. It's what I was hoping for and what is right.

I explained to them that this culture/group/whatever is fairly rabid about these trucks and parts like this won't keep them around for long.
I, for one, want them to succeed but I want them to produce solid parts if for no other reason than to give the other guys a bit of competition.

Anyway, that's my experience as of now.
Thank you Ian!

Bruce is the owner of Juncheng, who founded the factory. He and I both promised you :)

From now on, we will try to use plywood box for large and sensitive parts. We hope this will help.

Mid 60’s fenders can hold a 200lb adult!
I’m around 165lbs and have cautiously used my fenders (4/80) to access hard to reach spots in my bay with no ill effect.

Thank you, Tim.
Stepping up to improve your products speaks volumes. As does making issues right for the consumer.

Impressive.

Listening to the customer and making quality improvements and logistic changes is the first step to a solid customer base. This is the way Toyota did things back in the day.

Good strategic move.
