Serra Toyota of Decatur (Eric). Is the best packer, in the world. Decatur ships: FDSs (AKA CV), Radiators, brake masters and many other parts most will not. They get to my door in perfect condition. Just as if I pick-up at the parts counter. Repacking, is what slow these orders. It has also made, Decatur the busiest of all Toyota parts departments in the SE system.

I much rather wait, to get all I want and undamaged. Than fast and damaged parts I must return or restore. Or have them CXL and say NLA, because they're too lazy to repack.
I can echo this. The Birmingham location.. mixed. But from Decatur, I ordered 2 sets of CV’s and other parts and the packing was impeccable.

Wish I had read some of these comments about Serra before placing my order Monday (including a FDS/CV axle). Looking at my invoice I don't see which Serra I ordered from. Guess I will cross my fingers and hope for the best.

The other concept to consider here is this: If you have an urgent need to address something that is keeping your daily driver from being your daily driver.....perhaps a different approach is more appropriate!

As for ordering for future preventative maintenance items, or for a project to get to in the near future....I echo @2001LC s thoughts. I ordered a radiator from Serra and it came while I was away from home. A neighbor retrieved the box and put it in my garage, but it had a large tear (from shipping) in the box....I feared for the worst. When I got home, the tear/damage was only to an "outer box". The radiator was in it's original packing box, inside an oversized well protected outer box. The radiator was perfect. The repacking of these items is what will keep me a customer, big sale or not.

My front drive shaft from Birmingham location appeared to be a returned item from the looks of it. Bubble wrappred was half torned and had the OP info label stuck to it. And it took a while to receive the item.

Just looking at data from my past five orders from Serra. Somehow from the moment I click ship to the moment it arrives at my door, it takes Impex less time on average to deliver an order. And also, it looks like it was packed by the best package packer in the world as well!

Marietta and Serra websites refuse to show any parts for a 1999 Landcruiser - tried different browsers on two different computers at different locations.

And I need a brake master!!!

ETA:
Plugging a known part number works.

I'm having the same problem. Tried other vehicles, same thing. I almost feel like they want to end the sale early.

I tried putting part numbers and still no luck. 🙄

Just search on Amayama for the correct part number, plug it into the Serra website. Half the stuff in my Serra cart comes up as “cannot confirm fitment.”

Tried different part numbers and I get page not found. Tried different browsers, still no luck. Maybe it's a blessing because knowing them and with the sale it might take a month or two before I receive the parts.

Interesting.

I got the brake master into my cart at Serra but couldn't do the same at Marrietta. Am in a bind and don't know if either will ship any time soon.

Also just found a local-ish dealer that is participating in the 20% albeit with slightly higher starting prices - and I could get the master into my cart.

Having the same problem.... searching for the part number in google + the dealer you want to buy from helped but it's making it very difficult to price compare between dealers.

I am still getting the same error at final checkout that I got last sale saying to call the dealer.

I have tried:
  • Incognito browser
  • Wiping all cookies and cache
  • Three different browsers
  • Completely different machine with 3 different browsers with no former cookies
  • Mobile device with two different browsers
  • Checking out as Guest instead of being logged in
  • Using a different dealer website
  • Different payment CCs
  • Different delivery address
I ended up calling, then emailing my P/Ns, CC info, and shipping info. Unclear if my order was placed today, though…

What a pain to enter 18 different part numbers over and over. 😵‍💫

I gave up after 5 try’s
Would not take my money 🤷‍♂️

FWIW I was able to place an order through Toyota of Dartmouth. That was the only one that was working.... Try entering the P/N in the search bar and clicking "add to cart".

Edit: Just kidding, at the confirmation section everything is blank.... However, I did get charged from it according to my bank app.

Interesting.

OK - There is a browser aspect to this ~don't know what.

Just looked at Serra again using Opera and it won't show me any part on my list ~there is a momentary flash of "x# parts found" and the hint of a list of images/links and then a blank page. Was able to pull up parts by number at Serra using Microsoft Edge.

Maybe check your cookies or use Edge

I managed to order a brake master through Canobie Toyota in NH, about $100 more than Serra. I'm going to order the spiders from Serra and save just about $40 on all four.

Had the same issue with Valdosta the other day. Called them for help and they gave me a support line. The online part sales website servers are run by Toyota corporate it seems, so they can't really offer any support at the dealer level. I gave up and ordered my fuel injector crush washers from Partsouq. They were shipped out the next day. Yes, perhaps I should have taken a "different approach" and stocked those washers months in advance in anticipation of my fuel injectors going bad one day so that Serra Toyota of Decatur could get my money. Plus I'm running the risk of not having those washers wrapped by the best package packer in the world. I'll do better next time.
