09111-60050 - 1.8 ton, torx screws, TOYOTA MOTOR, and 1985- 8/1987?

The date stamp on this one is 5G (July 1985) so we know it is 1985 and up. Not sure about the last year of the 60050 though.

Thanks Marco for the jack! :)

I have a Toyota FJ40 tool bag with either a 3 or 4 piece jack rod (they are short rods, maybe 10" long, that connect to each other and they are the dark brown.) After having read all the way through this thread, as well as the two reference threads, I now believe those rods to be for something other than a 40. Do any of the participants on this subject have an idea what they were originally used on? It's after midnight here, or I would post some photos.

Based on the parts catalog, it looks like these came with later FJ60, 62 and 80 models, perhaps others as well. Photo from 4xoddic.

I can go grab the toolkit out of my 80 if needed. It is complete.

The parts above are 60 but I have never figured out why you need a hubcap spoon (09183) and the center cap hub tool (09183A)...

Yep, that is exactly what I have, so definitely for a 60. Thanks Guys! (and I have the spoon and the center cap remover cluttering up my Toyota zip-up tool bag too)

I picked up a jack and tool kit out of a 94 FZJ80 years ago. Don't believe it had 09183A. By the size of this I always figure it was to install the center cap on 60/62/FJ80. Too small for a FJ40 style hub cap. 09183 I figured was for removing the center cap. My kit included 09135A since the cruiser had a sun roof. 09155 was different, much longer I assume for the FZ1 engine. Don't remember the end of the handle being shaped like a spoon. I have two loose stamped steel jacks. One the base it bolted together, the other crimped. I assume the bolted one was out of a mid eighties FJ60 I picked up with the tool kit from a junk yard and the crimped base is from the 94 FZJ80.

Almost done with the 1971-1975 jack labels... Just need to learn Japanese real quick.

I am no expert... But ... I think it says 'Caution' (up top) and 'Don't raise beyond the red mark' in the long area

:)

Lol ... You probably figured as much... And it is not a translation by me... Just a guess :)

Are you looking for exact real translation by somebody that knows japanese... Pm @mot or @peteinjp

it says

chuishite

kono maaku no ue ni agenaide kudasai

becareful

please do not raise above this mark.

so as you see the japanese are more polite than we are! thats the only difference.

thanks to my co worker- kanji is still way beyond me!

Found this in Gary's '62. I'm not sure when they added the o-ring and boot but thought it was relevant to this thread :)

Paid off the original owner's lease to get my 89. He was a yuppie besides never being off road spare tire was never lowered, tool kit and jack not touched. Nothing that looked like that on the jack. I have 80 jack and kit. That jack the base it is crimped. I have another jack with torx screws. Thought it was early than 85 60 series but unsure. Where would the date stamp be on this jack? I do notice that the FJ62 jack still has torx screws so went past 8/87. I could have checked my 7/89 FJ62 last weekend if I had been following this tread better. Not sure when I will be able to that for torx screws, I believe it has them.

The date stamp for the steel jacks is on the side of the neck, opposite the label. 4G is July 1984.

I have been looking for the cut over between the 1/2" band and the later 1" band. We know it was 1976 but I haven't been able to find any examples of a 1/2" 1976.... until now :)

Just a thought I had trying to piece all these together. I didn't keep track of what jacks came with a single rod. Post up if you know any specifics for jacks that only came with one rod or a shorter rod. My guess is the car jacks have one rod while the truck jacks have two.

Here's a 1972 Toyota Corona wagon that appeared on Hemmings. Appears to have a 09110-21020 or 09110-23010 jack with a long handle and single rod.

Love the Japanese translation, thanks peteinjp Mine did not have the sticker on it before I restored, did the '78's have that sticker on the jack body like the one pictured as well?

77 and 78 jacks have the wide neck flange and use a different sticker. Here's an example of a 77/78 jack restored by AATLAS1X with the correct sticker. These stickers are available from MetricTLC and perhaps others.

The sticker should be oriented on the neck flange so the red arrow on the sticker lines up with the red dot at the bottom of the jack lift column, like the jack on the left in this photo from treerootCO.

Still can't believe my luck. Today I bought for a very reasonable price a 09110-35011 jack, rods and handle from the local buy and sell where it had been posted since Nov 22/14. The ad stated "from a 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser bottlejack and parts ..." I assumed it was long gone but last night sent an email to the seller anyway.

As you can see from the pics, it ain't pretty but it works. It still has a bit of the sticker on the collar.

The jack reference and info in this thread made it possible for me to easily determine it is an fj40 jack. Thank you for an excellent resource!

(2E) 1962 or 1972?

Single rod (55mm or 21 1/2" long) and crank

For reference, the longer rods are 62mm or 24 1/4" long
