Here are some pictures with the entire jack painted. I took these in full sun, with the big camera, and used a circular polarizer. In the back row we have an assortment of OEM jacks with original paint. The OEM jacks have been polished and waxed to bring out their natural shine.

The school bus is definitely closer , but certainly lacks a bit of black and red hue in the oem jack color . You'll have to swing probably in the direction of some industrial yellow , maybe even some of the older car colors as it does look quite familiar . From the looks of my jack crank handle , look into some of the early 80's car colors - can't strike which one it was right now . The Massey color is going to be way too much white now that you posted these polarized pics .

Does Toyota have any reference as to this color on other things they built , such as forklifts or something industrial ?

Brown Jack - Off the Shelf Color

Toyota switched to stamped steel, brown jacks in 1979. The shade of brown is quite dark. Here's the result of attempting to match the color with off the shelf paint, using Rust-oleum Dark Walnut and Krylon Espresso applied to sections of an originally OEM brown jack handle. The Dark Walnut appears to be a close match.

Painted the brown cast jack handle with the Rust-Oleum Dark Walnut rattle can paint plus clear coat. Compared to an OEM brown stamped steel jack handle, not an exact match, but close.

If your plans include restoring either of the brown jacks 09110-60010 or 09110-60040 and/or the associated handle or rods, you may want to consider Rust-oleum Dark Walnut.

I just now clicked "like" on a few posts in this thread ... but ALL of what you guys have researched on jacks is amazing.

However something here just isn't right...

You hide your age wscBill so I know it's bound to be heading towards triple digits. :D

But TreerootCO lists an age of just 37.

I just don't think that's possible with the symptoms being exhibited here!

09110-21020 - Toyota Crown Jack

We've puzzled over this unusual jack. Although it is marked Toyota and STO, it is unlike any of the other Toyota cast jacks. Searching on the part number 09110-21020 provided no additional information.

However, a search on part number 09110-31030 located this diagram for a 1974-79 Toyota Crown. Apparently a pantograph jack was provided with sedan and hard top models, while a screw jack was supplied with vans and wagons.

The associated parts list does not provide any additional information or description, but that jack in the diagram certainly appears to be the 09110-21020 jack.

I have a odd two piece jack handle I pulled out of what I remember was a 69 FJ55. It was on the bottom of the rear seat and the seat bottom was molded for the two pieces with clips to hold them in. This was probably around twenty years ago. They are painted yellow. The jack was missing but I believe I removed the holder for my Fj45. I looked at my early FJ55 micro-fiche but it just list the jack and handles together, no break down of each piece. If a kid haven't moved it by running long forks thru the windshield then picked it up :bang: I was going to buy the whole cruiser and could provide pictures of the seat bottom.

Now I want to post up a pic of my jack before and after I restore it.............

I am leaning towards School Bus Yellow, what a great thread!!!!

Brown Jack - Off the Shelf Color

This is the brown, cast jack handle from the earlier post painted with the Rust-Oleum Dark Walnut rattle can paint (plus clear coat), with an OEM brown stamped steel jack. Not an exact match, but close.

Posting new date stamps. The one thing I have learned is that 'I' (September) is different than 'L' (December). The 'L' stamps are L. I updated the list above for the ones I thought were L.

The little baby screw on the crank appears to be correct. The crank handle marked STO should also be the correct one for an RK30 jack (pre 1963)

I believe the STO with the 2 is correct for an RK30. The STO without a 2 is ???

Doing some research (what I do on Sundays) I found a 4L,4G, and 5I with the decal still in place. I can confirm that the decal is the same as the Hilux. The sticker is orientated so that it faces the crank. Shane has reproductions of the '77-'78 decals. Now all we need is to find a good 72-76 one and see if Shane can make those for us.

09110-31020 - Toyota Masterline – The Lift Column Cap is missing on the left one. Interesting that the screws don't match. The 8 has flat head and the 9 had cross head. I would think flat head screws should be correct.
