Gday,

Is anyone able to post some detailed or close up photos of their throttle linkage on a toyota 3b with an inline pump

Cheers,
Alex

The throttle linkage doesnt go to the pump.. it goes to a butterfly on the air intake.. On a petrol car you'd call it a "throttle body". The 3B inline pump has pneumatic throttle control.

So the linkage only goes to the intake

So the linkage only goes to the intake

Correct.. and the intake has two hoses down to the governor housing on the rear of the injection pump. These two hoses deliver a differential vacuum that controls the position of the fuel rack.

Oh cool.
Thanks

also, just to keep you up at night, inside where the two hoses from the 'throttle plate go to on the injection pump, there is a leather diaphragm that the differential pressure acts on and moves the fuel rack to determine fuel load, this leather goes bad after a while and needs to be replaced. It will crack and cause high idle and erratic throttle issues. So if this ever seems to be happening this could be a cause.
The pleasures of owning a 3b. Cattle power!
