Will someone either make a gross of these or post the circuit diagram/pinout for them?
Possibly, but I'd have to see the details. If not, I do know a retired nuclear electrical engineer; I doubt this is beyond him.Do you have the skills to reverse engineer something like this?
@Malleus I have a unit and I opened it up for curiosity--it is dead simple, just a cheap microcontroller attached to a bluetooth module. Duplicating the microcontroller firmware and software for the Android app would be most of the work. Here are the details of the Toyota OBD1 protocol: OBD-1 Serial Interface - Toyota Wiki - http://toyota.kgbconsulting.ca/wiki/OBD-1_Serial_Interface. It is a serial port connection, would be pretty easy to duplicate except one would need the different sensor curves that convert sensor voltage reading into actual values like temperature. Anyone know how I can obtain one of these or who to contac
He does in batches maybe 1x or 2x per yr...<20qty. Mostly ppl from Europe gobble them up and as far as Australia and middle east.Does he or anyone still actively make them though?
