Sweet, thats the kit number I came up with. Currently checking with B&W to make sure there are no interference/ fittment issues with running the Firestone kit in their hitch. Plus I know where spare parts are :)

Was able to get the Firestone kit installed with no issues with the B&W hitch in place (after reading through the previous post about red thread seal on the bolts I saved myself alot of time and broken tools) The brackets in the kit are really thick and like the look of the Firestone air bags over the Air Ride bags that I was ruining in my other truck. Made a quick run to Midsouth trucking and picked up a $10 "T" to plumb both air lines together.

Since I usually have a CO2 bottle when I pulling a trailer airing up will be a snap.No pictures this time my fingers are to cold :D

Great to hear Albert :) it sure is chilly to be under the truck :D I meant to post back after your last post to tell you I had a "T" for you but I guess I got sidetracked sorry about that bud.

PK would you happen to have the torque specs for the 4 hub bolts? I picked up my front axle shaft from Rene at USA Driveline today and he couldn't put a joint with a grease zert they don't offer one for the new Dana's he said he could grind it down to run the older versions but it would be more work and he wasn't in favor of it. Said I should get another 100k on this one so I'll go with it :) He just bought himself a 2013 3/4 4x4 Mega-Cab for his towing needs.

Thank you Sir just came in to look doing some night wrenching ;)

Put it tight and turn it ¼ :)

On non-drivetrain related I'd go with that bud but there is a lot riding on the hub bearing and I don't want any slack in those bolt or it'll cause more problems than I care to deal with. To the bat cave I go :)

Albert and I got our stake pocket D-rings in, going to test them out for the RoundUp.

Those are very nice thats a great idea :)

It did great. I had the 40 plus an ATV plus tools and gear on the trailer. Averaged 8 - 8.5 MPG's. Not too shabby for a gasser that only gets 16 MPG's mixed highway and in town. Aside from a very strong side wind and not having the 40 loaded on the trailer correctly for the ride home I really didn't notice the trailer like I thought I would. We had to stop about an hour in to the drive home to reposition the 40 because I had it too far to the rear and the trailer was starting to wag all over the road. Once I got it in the sweet spot it was smooth sailing.

With the head wind we had comming home that is some decent MPG numbers.

No yet. If I get one the next year they will come out with a cummins model. Toyota does have some nice rebates and rates right now.

Don't know if I would go for the diesel right out of the gate. As of now they have no plans to need up the rest of the truck or suspension. So it will actually be rated to haul less than mine. I hope Toyota makes some changes but I'm not holding my breath.

I hope they get their s*** together and build a heavy duty option Tundra around that new Cummins and make a real contender in the 3/4 ton class I'd love to drive a Tundra but unless they make the move to the diesel I can't even consider it for my needs. I have my mind set on our next one to be a 1 Ton MegaCab I imagine Holden having a 40 to poke around behind me by that time but I'd be very anxious to give the Tundra a go if they can build it to 3/4 ton specs :)

Rigged me up a "Redneck" back up camera for hooking up the gooseneck by myself.
Picked up the round mirror at a truck stop and the magnet at Harborfreight.
All I do is look at the mirror on the neck of the gooseneck till I see I'm on top of the ball. Works like a charm. image.webp
