Can you tell its the Ram's turn for some TLC getting it ready for the Orlando trip at the end of the month. Finally working on the air bags and changing the fluids. I changed the fuel filter yesterday and after fighting it with a filter wrench the last two times I found there was a 1/2 drive slot on the bottom that would have made life so much easier at least on the Wix housing.

Finally finished the air bags on the MegaCab and after its all said and done the Firestone kit is really nice and well put together. Thanks to Albert's advice I bolted over to MidSouth Trucks in Broussard Wednesday to get their last quick connect "T" I needed to plumb the air lines. Being the GREAT guy Albert is he was rigging me up a setup to use until I could order one but thankfully I was able to get the quick connect and finish it last night. The guys over at MidSouth Trucks said the Firestone kits are hard to beat and they carry the replacements parts if needed.

What I learned thanks to Paul is those kits that put the thread locker on all the bolts before installation can cause a lot of headache it sent me on a shopping spree for a 6mm Allen socket which I finally ordered a whole metric set from Sears and a replacement for the one I borrowed and twisted of Pauls I twisted two wrenches and Paul's socket before taking the wire wheel to all the bolts and then reapplying the liquid thread locker on everything as I put them in. I had 0 problems that route

Good looking Firestone kit. It's nice not to be riding on bumpstops ! For everyday use with out hauling a trailer or camper do you keep any air in the system?

Thanks Albert well I drive the 80 daily so I hadn't touched it since but it currently has 15 PSI in the bags and it didn't ride all that different on the day I did drive it without the camper. I just put enough in it to maintain the level stance because I was worried about it beating us up on I10 and hearing the wife fuss about it

I love my Firestone air ride. 5 lbs normal driving and towing heavy loads it makes a world of difference. Larry you will love it!
