I love my Firestone air ride. 5 lbs normal driving and towing heavy loads it makes a world of difference. Larry you will love it!

Thanks Deryl that's good to hear I will remember to back them down to 5lbs when we get back from Disney :)

Looks good bud and bet it drives even better...

So, we ditched the F250 and the FJC in favor of this 2014 Tundra SR5 with the 5.7 litre V8, the Louisiana package and added heated leather seats. This should hold me over till 2017 when Toyota comes out with the diesel Tundra. ;)

looking good!

I think on about getting one too. Maybe a lease until the diesel comes out. I test drove a trd a couple of weeks ago.

Looks good Mike, congrats Sandy on a sweet Tundra.

Congrats to you both Mike its very nice, Cheers! I really like the redesign of the Tundra if I didn't need the diesel I'd certainly put one in the driveway.

New daily/tow rig. Now if I could ever just get back to enjoying some trail time.

PS sales manager is pres of local jeep/4x4 club. Invited me out to their meetings.

Nice truck I test drove one earlier this year, lots of 'get up and go" when you mash on the gas ! Sure bet you are liking those heated seats right about now :).

 congrates very nice looking truck. The four doors give a lot of room.

That's awesome Davin. If you're interested there's a group of FJC guys going up to Superlift soon, in Feb I think.

with the new :crybaby: on the way, i doubt i will be heading back to the trails anytime soon. but since its a boy, i do plan on having a camping partner in the future.

Ha ha......yeah lots of get up and go. As for the heated leather, it was the ONLY THING that Sandy wanted. Since it is her daily driver and we got a great deal from Lakeside Toyota we had them added.

Congrats on the new rig bud and any outing with like minded people no matter what their driving sounds like a good time away from the normal grind to me take him up on it but keep an open mind some of those folks approach it with a different mind set than we do stay in your comfort zone and let the others show off at their own expense it's much cheaper on the wallet ;)

Finally finished the air bags on the MegaCab and after its all said and done the Firestone kit is really nice and well put together. Thanks to Albert's advice I bolted over to MidSouth Trucks in Broussard Wednesday to get their last quick connect "T" I needed to plumb the air lines. Being the GREAT guy Albert is he was rigging me up a setup to use until I could order one but thankfully I was able to get the quick connect and finish it last night. The guys over at MidSouth Trucks said the Firestone kits are hard to beat and they carry the replacements parts if needed.

What I learned thanks to Paul is those kits that put the thread locker on all the bolts before installation can cause a lot of headache it sent me on a shopping spree for a 6mm Allen socket which I finally ordered a whole metric set from Sears and a replacement for the one I borrowed and twisted of Pauls :frown: I twisted two wrenches and Paul's socket before taking the wire wheel to all the bolts and then reapplying the liquid thread locker on everything as I put them in. I had 0 problems that route :)

LL was anything missing on the kit that you purchased? And what part number do you use? I'm thinking I adding air bags and like the fact that the Firestone replacement parts are carried locally .

Looks like kit number 2299 but I'll verify that on the box at home :) I bought it from these folks for $306.00 shipped best price I could find at the time. Only thing I needed was the "T" because the kit has you run each bag to its own fill line and I ran them to just one :) Of course I didn't splurge for the pump and controller I think its nice I just didn't want to fool around with mounting the compressor, switches, wiring and all the good stuff that goes with it. I've been running 15 psi when I tow the fifth wheel loaded and 5 psi when around town. It literally takes 1 squirt of air from a compressor to go from the 5 to 15 it takes more effort to get the cap off  I'm very happy with them I didn't really see the need when I had the bumper pull and leveling hitch but with the weight of the fifth over the axle it sure helps out those springs I think they were getting a little tired it does see a good bit of towing for sure :D
