You really never know what works. My grandmother drank a jigger of blackberry brandy, took two aspirin and two Alka seltzer every night and lived to 98, first time she went to a hospital for her own account was at age 95. Gave birth to three kids at home. So, if the raisins and Gin do the trick, buy it by the case, it's cheaper in the long run.

Lucky socks - Once you find a good pair, never change them.

Until they got too crusty and your eyesight starts to go.

Oh sheeeet! Gin makes you pregnant?

Hairy palms are the sign you’re looking for to cease action and save your vision, Ginger.
And this whole time I thought it was for better grip

I hate hate hate hate hate hate Fu$#$ing electrical issues with cars.

I posted about a month ago that I had replaced the ignition switch in the focus. Well that worked fine till the next day when I went to the store and then came out to nothing when turning the key again..... after shaking everything it did finally crank and I left it as is. (trying to start it periodically which it did sometime and not others. I was hoping to get it going again this week because my brother in law is planning on buying the lexus from me.

More research last week and another common problem with those faults is the actual ignition cylinder getting worn down at the contact point. Order one last night OEM. Re-key it to my original key. Install it start the car, turn off, start it, turn off, start it, turn off, NOTHING!!!!

Leave the charger on the battery overnight as it may be down a bit. Get up in the morning, start the car, turn it off start it turn it off, NOTHING.... WTF!!!

So I tell my boss i'm working from home and start down the wonderful electrical rabbit hole. I spend an hour googling every common problem with that year/model that "might" have anything to do with it. I replace the ignition relay with a good one, nothing.
I change the ECM diode with the one for the fan, nothing.
I check and bypass the clutch switch, nothing
I make sure the starter relay is doing something when turning the key to start, nothing.
I pull the column back apart to make sure everything is still lining up from the previous night.
I check every fuse or relay that has anything to do with it.
So now i'm left with it may being the starter.... bad news I was hoping to avoid it because of where it is on this car. Car has 240k miles on it and normally runs amazing so this is the first none PM thing i've done to it.
3 1/2 hours later, busted knuckles and looking like a coal miner I walk into auto zone and have them test it... tests good. Go to Orileys for a second test, tests good.

So now here I am, having to put the old starter back in. I decide to order new OEM batter cables to make sure something in the harness hasn't gone bad. So i'm waiting till thursday night before starting the reinstall.

I've ruled out just about everything I can think of with a no crank problem. I'm going to find and clean every ground I can in he mean time.

I HATE ELECTRICAL ISSUES, SO MANY STUPID POSSIBILITIES.

I retract my previous endorsement. I wish nothing but hateful things on the people who run and own A&E Heating and Air.

How much are you willing to pay... opening up a new business named after a certain AC/DC song... waiting for the business license ;)

Here's what you gotta do
Pick up the phone
I'm always home
Call me any time
Just ring
36 24 36 hey
I lead a life of crime

 What did they do?

Tried to charge my wife $2500 to replace a condenser coil under warranty. Got a place now coming out on Monday for ~1k, maybe a bit more depending on how much refrigerant our system takes.

Using Boer Brothers now...will hold feedback until a later date.

@Izzyandsue the sheep in this country kill me. Whatever the media and mass marketing says is the truth. No research, no googling, no reading, no understanding how stuff works, just complete bs that comes over the air and it has to be true. Happy Friday!

Clean coal! Woo hoooooo! I am tired of the push for complete and utter ignorance in our country. Just. Plain. Stupid. Ignorance. What the hell happened? People, please, read a ******* book or something. Okay censors, delete away.

No worries Izzy, AOC has it all figured out. You are, however, going to be required to tear down your house and build new again following the new guide lines. Oh, anything you own with an internal combustion motor will also have to be melted down for scrap, once she figures out how to generate the heat required.

I realize this will not qualify as a rant, but.....

I had been experiencing a shortness of breath, a heavy feeling in my upper chest and small pangs in the left side of my chest for a while after a little exertion or walking or climbing steps. In 7/3 I went to the VA in K'ville for a Audiological appt and had a lot of symptoms after I climbed the flight of steps up to the second floor. After the appt I went to the walk-in clinic and filled out the form with my symptoms and was taken back right away. An EKG was done and after being read by a Dr I was advised to go to the nearest ER. The EKG showed some problems and the heart rate was down to 44.

Drove to the ER in High Point, gave the triage my symptoms and the history and was taken back immediately. Again I was hooked up to another EKG and I saw my heart rate drop to 40. I was kept overnight and the next morning I was advised to see my primacy care physician and get a stress test. Called ASAP and was able to see the PA who ordered the stress test.

The stress test was on 7/12 and on Monday 7/1 I was advised by the heart center to come in ASAP for a consultation. Not to bore you with additional details I had a cardiac cath yesterday and the Dr found a 99% blockage in one artery. A stent was inserted and I stayed overnight for observation. Yes, I do feel better, I just have to become accustomed to the new medications I have been prescribed.

I have to make major changes in my diet and lifestyle but I am happy the blockage was found and the changes are minimal in comparison.

So to all the tough guys out there that think they can work through a little discomfort, don't. Get checked. Your family will thank you for it!

Glad you were able to catch this in time. The meds are a pain for sure, but better than the Eternal Dirt Nap.
