Probably hurts some until you've had a few, but you could relieve the pain some by entertaining folks. Make a thumb puppet to entertain the kids. Paint a face on it with a magic marker. That's what I'd do.

OK, I've banged up my figures more than a few times and this thing should be ready to leave it's host in a day or so and go on a rampage eating cities in it's path.

i posted this thread in the 40 section..
CAN'T get the 40 into GEAR.. So here's the whole story.. i have a '74 fj40 with stock 4 speed tranny and transfer case.
When i parked my rig where it sits now 3 months ago it was in 2 wheel drive.. the front hubs were locked because it was snowing and i had been using 2 and 4 that day.. it sat there for about a month.
Next time i went to move it a month later.. i started it fine went to go and spun the tires because of the snow so needed to put it in 4wd to get out.. would not engage into 4h or 4low or into 2wd from that moment on.. no grinding or bad noises or anything.. seems the transfer case is stuck in neutral or something.
i tried rolling the vehicle back and forth while shifting as sometimes that helps and nothing will catch.
any insight?

Started getting the radiator into place on my 40. Summit radiator comes with no mounting brackets so I took some 1/8" aluminum and bent up some brackets to fit in the bottom of the radiator. Im going to rivet the brackets to the radiator then find some rubber to put between the mount and the frame.
took some pics of hte v8 installed. I also found a place for all those stickers your want to put on your truck but you don't really want to put on your truck.

it does I got a ton of clean up work to do. like the wiring needs some attention and I need to plumb up my heater again. but it literally runs like a new car start up is instant I am in love with the automatic choke.
In attempting to shift between 2H, 4H, and 4L, does the lever move normally or is it stuck?
I needed to get a bracket off the FJ45 hardtop so I could do some rust repair. Found that HF had a spot weld cutter for $5. 3/8" Double Sided Rotary Spot Weld Cutter It works awsome. I would highly recomend anyone grabbing one of these to have in your tool box if you ever needed it.
Did you check to see if your slave cylinder is leaking? Do you have fluid in the reservoir? You may need to adjust the slave cylinder push rod if you have fluid.
You get one of those with the Dashman Dash Box to cut the spot welds that hold the upper dash pad frame to the cowl... definitely a good thing to have around...
