Damn, I meant to say hello in person to Jon Held but never bumped into him. Unless, I’m mixing up screen names from back in the 60scool list days. Is it the same guy who sank his Cruiser in the ice pond or was that someone else?

Thanks too to Jeff and Jerry for spotting us all out of Buck Island and ensuring we reach the springs on time and trouble-free, though a number of us encountered some hiccups.
Here's my post-37th Rubithon report in photos and a few short narratives.
It's a new era for the Rubithon as a TLCA sanctioned event with it's new Chairman Jeff Greenwood. This year's event aside from the Maruder Bar, Saturday bbq dinner, raffle, among others, showcased a live band playing for 2 nights, vendor kiosks, Friday & Saturday breakfast, kids movie night and gold panning expedition. The winching class, RC competition and horseshoe tournament continue to draw a number of participants in this year's event. There was also a welding demo and guided Rubicon Springs history tours.
The Wagon Run where I belong had a highest number of registered rigs compared to previous years totaling 22 rigs. There were 180 rigs officially registered where 168 showed up. There were more than 400 people in attendance this year. It's a great turn out indeed.
Part 1 - Loon Lake trail head to Buck Island.
Most members of the Wagon Run spent the night of Tuesday camping at Loon Lake so we all get to start on time the very next day. It was my first time to camp at the Loon trail head. This year, which is my 6th in Rubicon - the Skunk on the Run in 2020, and 2021 to 2023 Rubithon with the Wagon Run, my 2014 FJ Cruiser TTUE made it through relatively unscathed but with much struggle. Earned some scratches and pin stripes as battle scars as well. This was also the first time that my two daughters - Hannah and Sabina went with me. Hannah, my eldest is my co-driver and trusted spotter when needed.
