Buy a minivan. ;)

Mark...

Hey you guys, when there is an earthquake and the freeway is torn to shreds, he will be the only one to make it home with his rig in one piece.

I read 'less than 1%' a hyperbole--no one could completely avoid the trails with one of these rigs could they?

To answer the original question, I think the 31-33" range has a really nice look to it. I wouldn't talk yourself out of getting some good use out of the tires you've got, unless you really aren't happy with them. If you really aren't happy with them, 33's probably aren't going to do it for you either and you may have to get 35's.

So, what lift is needed to clear the 33 X 10.5's? Also about 30% offroad...
I did longer shackles 2 1/2 inch out back and 1 1/2 inch up front. I have the original stock springs that have probably lost an inch or so.

I also did a little trimming mostly to clear up body cancer, but
it helped the rears stuff up there great.

Most people run a 2.5 inch lift for the 33's but I've had no issue.

Go with tall skinnies and keep your mild lift.
This eliminates the need for power steering.
Your front end won't wear out like it does when cranking the big wheels - especially with p/s.
Put in some wheel spacers if you need the wider look.
As said, 3.73 gears are good for DD's.

I have 33x9.50 BFG ATs with only a shackle lift. I would have gone with 33x12.50s but I got mine for free on wheels for free. I couldn't beat the price. They fit great and dont rub.

Jumping up to 35's can require radical changes to the suspension and rear fenders, but the SOA, power steering and 4Wheel discs make for a better ride, stopping and steering than I had with the 2.5" SUA lift. The 383 SBC and HF55 provide sufficient acceleration and that fifth gear, 35's with 4.11's gives low rpm's at 65mph.

Don't knock us mall crawlers on 33s and 4 inch lift.

It beats the he'll out the alternative.

Exactly. And gets all those mall MILFs all squiggly inside! ;)

Back on track, if you're wondering about a tire/lift combo, and are parking inside, look up as well. My new to me 40 needed to go to 33s, from 35s, to get inside.

That is something to keep in mind. I had to stay with 31's and stock suspension to get into the garage with the Con-ferr rack on (1/4" to spare). In the end, wanting what you've got can save you a lot of money and keep you from having to rebuild the garage. :)
