Timing Belt, Water Pump...What Else?

I know there are a ton of timing belt threads, but I haven't seen a complete list of all of the maintenance tasks that should be done when the timing belt is replaced. I'm not doing the work myself; I'm taking it to a mechanic and I want to be sure to ask him to do everything that makes sense.

Just a bit of background on the vehicle...it's a 2001 Lexus LX470. I bought it used 2 months ago with 155K miles on it. It was one owner; lots of service records but it says "timing belt checked", nothing about it being replaced. So I'm looking to be safe instead of being sorry down the road. And I would rather spend a few more bucks now and not get stranded somewhere!

Everyone has their own thoughts when it comes to maintenance. Some do the standard kit on Amazon/Ebay that is like 200 bucks. Some throw in cam/crank seals, some throw in more idler's/fan brackets/radiator hoses and some replace everything. There are threads on 90k, 180k services.
 
I'm with the crowd that I'd rather go ahead and replace parts with new while I've got easy access to them.

When I did the timing belt I did the works including replacing the fan clutch and fan bracket, If my hoses hadn't been replaced earlier I would have done them as well. Mine was at 220k and I had record of the 90k services but nothing to confirm the 180k service was done by previous owner
 
At ~250k I replaced ALL bearings in the front of the engine. They were all toast and none were noise-free. I could count on replacing them all ahead of time and buy the parts cheaply online. I got stuck realizing I needed them after it was all torn apart and needed to pay local dealer premiums (as high as 50%) on a few parts.

The water outlet is also likely to break as it's a cast piece and many people (myself included) break the neck off when removing it. It will depend on how stuck it is and whether or not a previous mechanic/owner used a sealant (they shouldn't, but often do).

I spent over $1200 on parts as I recall. I'd do it again. The engine purrs softly now and I'm confident a worn bearing won't be causing any trouble for the next 250k miles.
 
Agreed w the bearings. Every bearing associated with the belts you take off should be done while your in there. It would suck to have another 90k on a new belt, but have to redo it all because a idler bearing or something similar only went another 10k.
