Ok, so I got an at-a-boy bonus at work for completing a big project. A bunch of gift cards and what not. Well, one of them is a $500 AutoZone gift card. That goes a long way on the basic needs for my truck. Optima battery being one. Here's my question, on their website they have two timing belt/water pump kits, Dayco and Duralast. I know the Duralast is the AutoZone brand, don't know about Dayco. Has anyone used either of these kits? Both have tensioners, gaskets, etc. Is there a difference or does it matter. Or should I purchase another brand else where?

Stick to the OES/OEM branded parts. The AISIN TKT021 kit is most economical kit with OES parts- (not available at AZ as for as I know). Keep your AZ gift card for Batteries, grease, oil, bulbs etc.

Get the Aisin kit and call it done, you might as well get a fan clutch and a fan pulley bracket while your there, Aisin also makes the clutch and bracket. Stay away from Optima get an Odyssey.

Went with the Aisin kit on my 2001 LX a few months ago. Seems fine to me.

I also change all my hoses and serp drive belt at the same time, also the plastic "T" s, serp tensioner pulley
crank seal?

Yes on the cam seals and crank seal, buy Toyota seals.
