Pin hole leak time for radiator need suggestions

I've read many posts about the subject. Other than an OEM where should I be looking? It's for my 91 which is automatic and has 169,000 on the clock. Thanks

Need a little help here? Thanks

Koyo is probably the most popular alternative to OEM. Do a search for "new radiator" or "radiator suggestions" and you'll find good info. There are also several threads that discuss radiator installation, including some time-saving tips.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will a 1990 fit a 91&92,they tell me it's the same? Just checking? Thanks

Get yourself a all aluminium radiator from Shepard in CA for $180. I put a huge one in my F250 Quad Cab Super Duty Long Bed 4X4 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel. Sweeh!:p And couldn't be happier with it. And the price shipped nationwide for $230 seemed to good to be true. But it dropped right in perfectly. And all that shiny aluminium just looks bad a$$ to boot. It was made with thick stock and the welds were pretty nice. I learned of them from a thread on here of a guy with a 91 putting one in. He seemed happy with it. Nevermind the web site typo calling for a V6.

Shepard auto, 3 row aluminum delivered in 3 days $192.00 done! Thanks for all the input.

Looks like i am in the market as well, and thanks to my board brethren's advice. Anybody know origin and make of the shepherdauto radiator? Seems pretty cheap...

^China is all I know. Lifetime Warranty......

I'm in the same boat. I had a super hot spray almost hit me in the face from a crack the width of a quarter on the to plasic. I ordered a 3 row all aluminum a couple of days ago for a cool 200 from classic radiators on ebay. Wheeled it hard in 111 degree heat. No issues!

If your in the situation where you need the new rad right then, the napa rad I bought for around 230.00 looked like it was identical to the oem. The only difference I could find when I had the factory rad next to the one from napa was an ink stamp.

Well I ordered the one Bendcruiser did from shepherdauto...like the price but nervous about quality although board seems to generally agree the china aluminum rads are good stuff. I shall report..

Here are some pics of the one I put in my F250. Just to give you a idea of the quality. You can definitely tell it was a ssembly line type of manufacturing. The base has some very skilled welds. Why other parts were done OK but not by a very skilled welder.

Looks like Im a little late, but I took mine out had the tanks done at my local radiator shop and had it back in for $150. its been somewhere around 3 months and no issues, he did the one in my 4runner to about 2 years ago and also no issues.

Thanks for chiming in. That sounds good, I was kind of looking forward to losing the plastic in exchange for the all aluminum. I will report back after the install and some miles. Thanks:cheers:

I figured that having around 165k miles on the stock one wasnt too bad, so if I could get anywhere near that out of the rebuild I would be happy, good luck with the install, and let us know how it goes, the more info out there the better.

I ran a NAPA in my old 80 for a year and it was great. If you're in a pinch they are great radiators.
