Time for a new radiator

Could the fluctuating temps be the accuracy of a digital gauge? And maybe this is more normal than not? Just throwing it out there

I have a Koso gauge in my 94, does not fluctuate like that or degree.

I would expect as thermostat opens and closes you have fluctuations, but swing seems a bit much. Since i already bought the aisin pump, and everything else is fairly new, i will stick it in there. I have suspicion that coolant was not changed much by PO and i may have deteriorated impellers..other than that, stumped.
Oh, gauge reads about what outside temp shows after sitting all night. Not cheap, and likely accurate. I put the sensor up top per instructions..
