Hey All,

Can anyone confirm the correct part number for a 1HDT with a H151 or 152 transmission? I seem to be getting different part numbers.

I ordered a 31230-60181 and it is a touch shorter than the generic one that came in the Terrain Tamer kit for my truck.

Can anyone steer me right?

What year?

I had the same issue when u out a clutch in my fzj80 / H151.
Different part numbers, and the bearing supplied with the clutch was too short and the clutch wouldn't disengage.

I’ll try to reach out to him. A quick search of his threads didn’t turn up anything definitive.

This is what I’m looking at. Slightly taller one came in the TT kit 6874. I’m reasonably certain I grabbed a throw out bearing for a later truck but I need to check.

Yup, that's the difference between s clutch that works, and a clutch that does nothing

I think it's possible (from checking this thread) that the difference might be in early vs late trucks.

Which is part of where my question lies now putting a new H152 in using the early H151 bell housing but a new H152/1HDT input shaft.

I need to go out and carefully measure the H151 input shaft vs the H152. Crap.

31230-60130 is what you are looking for

31230-60181 is for an FZ
Yeah the throwout bearing for the VIN my engine came from (via Partsouq) is the 31230-60120. Not 60130. But then my engine/trans came from England with a 275mm flex instead of the larger 300mm which I upgraded to.

Just need to figure out now where I stand with the mishmash of early & late parts. Ugh.

EDIT: Wrong Part Number listed first.

the input shaft from the H151 will need to be swapped onto the H152.

disregard the "engine # from the vin if you are swapping engines..............................?

I put a brand new 1HDT input shaft on the H152.

FWIW measuring the distance from the carrier seat to the end of the input shaft is identical btw the early H151 and new H152 (with 1HDT shaft).

The difference in bearing size is ~1/4"

Completely a guess but I'm guessing Toyota changed the clutch cover dimensions and matched the bearing to that. The TT clutch kit must use the earlier style cover bearing for all years since it doesn't matter as long as they are matched.

At least that's my theory unless anyone drop any more knowledge bombs on me.

I think you are right.
The aftermarket clutch i bought i couldn't find info about different bearing part numbers.
And the manufacturer was no help in answering questions.

The difference for mine was 5mm.
