Planning to remove my A/C system (no charge) and replace the seals/bearings/etc. and get a new condenser. Can't find a good thread on the end to end process - anyone have a link? I don't want to tackle removing the in-dash parts yet - what are the thread sizes for the pressure lines into the firewall, I'll likely just cap them for now.

Cheers!

I pulled all my AC stuff when I replaced my rad, FC and WP. I am not planning on replacing so all is in a box in the garage. I didn't cap my lines. Should I?

I plan on doing this exact same thing. I'll be taking it all out and eventually eliminating the compressor.
I'll probably just cap the tubes coming out of the firewall. Not sure what size they are I'll just try some plastic
caps till I find a good fit.

When I disconnected my freon res and it started to hiss I simply walked away. Truck is in my driveway so not in a closed space. It only took a minute or so.
Everything is out from the engine bay but I haven't pulled out the cooler in the dash yet tho I plan to to simply clean it so heat runs thru or by it better. (Correct me if I'm wrong). I've read if it's super gummed up w/ grit/dust ect the heater under the dash won't blow well.

I wouldn't eliminate air conditioning. It's a simple system that works well. Replace all the orings 10$, dryer40$, expansion valve30$, add oil, and have it recharged. Add r134 fittings and it will last fo years. The FJ60 ac compressor makes a fantastic compressor for on board compressed air if u really don't want air conditioning fyi.
