I know I know I know. I really don't like breaking tradition but I thought I might trow out some thoughts on dates.

What about Sat Sept 22nd?

My reason

It's hot in August.
Summer blowout is in August in Tellico.
It's hot in August.
Sept 22nd is an away game for Clemson.
It would be cooler.
It wouldn't be so Hot.
We wouldn't have to see the Cuban sweating.:D
The weather would be cooler.

The only drawback for me is I will be president for one more month. Hint hint

Thoughts?

I am good with that..

Works for me too... even though UGA is kick'n some Saban ass that day.

I am opposed, I don't think we should break from tradition. Also you only gave 2 viable reasons Tellico and Clemson football, and if you hold the meeting in Aug like normal Clemson football isnt an issue so you only have 1 viable reason. Every other reason kinda sounded like "blah blah blah lets be a bunch of :princess: " Lastly its only an average of like 4 degrees cooler from Aug to Sept so does 4 degrees really matter? Besides in my 6 years in the upstate there have been many times where it was hotter in sept and oct then in aug.

You're both right:doh:

it'll be a helluva road trip but whenever is good for me. Your right...Aug is brutal in SC

added attraction

spring would be a nice time to do it.

Muster Grounds are open April to May too. ;)
I really think having MG available for an easy ride
would be a nice addition to the annual meet.
Easy wheeling with pretty and historic woods and plenty of mud holes.
I like the Sept date.

Just don't do it Sept 7-9th. That's the weekend that I am planning a ride at Beasley Knob for the GA Cruisers with the TT. I'll announce it in it's own thread after our meeting next Tuesday. But I sure hope that some of y'all can come.

I agree move it......... I think now that we have added the OTMT as an annual event in August, I think we are really pushing it to have two large events in the same month. We have always tried to stick to the plan of having just one major event per month and I think it works best that way we don't want to cram to much in one month. I feel it might cut back on the number that attend the "Annual" meet if we have both the OTMT and the annual meet.

so you have my vote presidente
