I am so bummed out that I missed this one. Was really looking forward to going.

Worst part is, the trip I "NEED to be there" for was a complete waste of my time! UGGGGHHHHH:bang::mad::bang::mad::bang::mad:

Stosh- you missed a good day you certainly would have enjoyed the trails. It worked out pretty well, had only four vehicles so we were able to cover a relatively good amount of trails. probably gonna have a trail ride at least one day at Anthracite during the coal mine event next month.

Of course you'll be on vacation at that time...... bummer

Nothing like rubbing a little salt in the wound Gary!

Vacation plans conflict with the CMCC, so I won't be able to meet up with you guys until August, unless a covert mission pops up at some point along the way!

Gary, great idea to run up to AOAA one day during the CMCC event. I'd like to join along on this.

Small group this run, four rigs, five people.

We were lucky to have good weather (I had pouring rain for the first half of my two hour trip) , and we finally located the elusive harder trails.

The trail map still blows, but I was speaking to one of the guys in the office and he said they're working on improving them. The Maplet app does not show the blue/black trails, but the guy in the office gave us a "top-secret" map that did...thankfully. We hit some blues, but didn't even set eyes on the blacks...until next time!

Eric @Satanic mechanic tried his best to break the badly rusted frame on his stock, yes, stock, 60, but he sweet talked it all day long, and it drove home under it's own power.

Steve @Stevesnj made a surprise appearance after finally getting his truck back together after some head gasket issues.

Vince @VBRoamer, ever the trooper, showed up in his sweet LX.

Gary @shmukster and I lead the group in my 80. Gary riding shotgun, and doing his best to navigate between the trail "map" and the Maplets app.
We did pretty well, and only threw up our hands in defeat a few times, saying "I have no idea where we are".

We were back in the lot by about two, it was a short, but sweet, day. I definitely want to explore Anthracite more thoroughly.

The new Keystone Cruisers flag was debuted as well, I think Steve has some pics....Steve?

Hey Stan,

I'd be up for going back soon, maybe we'll get a few guys together and hit it after CMCC, and before the next official club run in August.

I'd definitely be up for it Greg. It really looks like you guys found some nice areas to explore. I was sooooo pissed when I got the call Friday night and had to bug out from the trip. Really wanted to exercise the new lockers and tires:(.

Yes the little 60 was told it had big tires and it won't be shown the pictures. It's still feeling mighty. I would love to check out more whenever you guys want to go.

How nifty that all these trails were available before it was sanctioned by Anthracite. Someone out in them parts knows 'em all.
Looking forward to checking it out.
Thanks for the trip report.

I hear there are some folks who still wheel the Paragon trail system...

Talked to a local that wasn't happy about Anthracite taking over. He said if I wanted to know where the runs were, just come visit. I may have to take him up on that. Apparently there are a lot of unmarked trails.

Was it in the park or out around the park? What color jeep did he drive? Lol. I live and work near the park. I more then likely know him.

He acted like it was out and around the park. His name is Jack. Not sure of his last. He works for one of the construction companies we do layout for.

I do believe there is a member, or two, who can confirm this..., and no, it's not me.

I'd be up for a trip there as well...:steer:

Wow, looks like you guys scored this time for sure! Glad you had a good time.

Any chance of scanning that "top secret" map for future club use? Keep some notes on what trails you hit.

Nice flag! Who do we thank for that, and can we use it for CMCC?

I was enjoying camping with the family this weekend - we managed to keep from floating away!

I have the map, and the flag will be at CMCC:cheers:
