The Victory Blitz bumper... ugh...:
I feel like the front bumper/fascia must be where Lexus takes up all the tolerance between body/frame on these trucks. Your install sounds basically the same as mine. I thought getting everything trimmed and aligned was a giant pain in the ass because my GX had a minor collision from the previous owner but maybe not. My bumper is straight on the the frame but getting the fascia trimmed/fitted around it took basically all day.

Same thought from me. Part of me wanted to shim the front left body mount to raise it up where the right side is.
 
Some GXOR members on FB were asking how I wired up the air compressor, so I drew up a wiring diagram.

So with my '22, I found a solution for the parking sensors. The 20+ grilles have sensor retainers that are plastic-welded on to the grille. Obviously that wouldn't work for me. I ordered some retainers from a '19 GX and decided to experiment. The end result is that you have to remove the rubber grommet on the sensor, remove the cage around the sensor body, and reinstall the rubber grommet. Then, you take the '19 sensor retainers and you clip the metal tabs, just like the Victory install video shows. Put the retainers in the bumper, paste a ton of black RTV silicone on the sensor, and plop them in the retainers. Wipe off any silicone that got on the front side and let cure overnight. Boom, working sensors that look flush and work normally. It's sounds a little sus, but it'll hold up just fine.

Seeing your post made me think that I need to RTV or hot glue my rear sensors in.
On extreme washboard roads the right rear will (giggle) I mean WIGGLE... out and hang by the wires. Not good, aside from the sensor always beeping when I slow down to a crawl or stop.

Man that sucks!! I have the opposite with my front sensors on my metaltech front bumper. They were almost impossible to fit in. One of the circle pieces cracked on one of them. I pretty much know if I have to replace a sensor I’ll have to replace the little round piece with it.

RTV is so useful, it's always nice having a tube on hand.

More bed liner!

Letting it dry overnight. I'm going to be really happy with how this turns out.

Is that the soft rubbery type bed liner or the 40 grit?
 
So this thread so far has been running, running, running, stop. There's a reason. I went back to school. I'm absolutely sick of what I do (work on Peterbilt trucks) and decided to chase a degree in mechanical engineering. It pays really well, but I'm beyond unhappy doing it. Yes, I bought the Lexus knowing full well that I'd be going back to school. An expensive SUV was always a part of the plan. School just means I had to give up my spot in line for some Sea-Doos I was going to acquire. That sucks, but I still have plenty of toys. To say my time is now limited would be an... understatement. I'll be mostly radio-silence until summer, thanks to doing both work and school full-time.

With all of that being said, what does a lower control arm cam bolt shifting sound like? I took a hard turn and heard a little "spoing" mid-corner. I didn't take pictures of the alignment after I had it done, but I could swear that my right rear control arm bolt moved over to the center.

Most people do things the right way: First education, then military, and finally career. I had to do it backwards.
I didn't get my BS Biomedical Engineering and MS Engineering Systems Management until later in my career and it was well worth it!
I started my life backwards. Began my career first as a drafter, moved to design drafter, then up to engineer (without a degree) in the medical device industry. Later joined the Army, Finally got my degrees and have over a dozen U.S. patents on life saving/quality of life med devices..
Without my education, I kept hitting glass ceilings. Best I'd ever make it as would be just an engineer and couldn't get into management and above unless I had that sheepskin.

So in short, I lift a glass to you and wish you a very sincere best in your education and future career!

Thanks, that's quite the background. My neighbor is in biomed and does pretty well for himself I'd say lol.

Biomed's a great industry, but it's not everywhere. The industry is mostly on northeast coast (Massachusetts area), west coast (northern and southern CA) and some in the midwest (north in Minnesota and some south in Texas area). There are other locations, but these are where most of the start-up companies and large ones like Medtronic, Edwards Lifesiciences, J&J, Kaiser, Boston Scientific, etc.

I live close to Research Triangle Park. Tons of biomed by me in Raleigh. Not something I'm interested, though. I'm leaning towards mechanical engineering, but have an open mind towards civil (because roads and bridges) and aerospace. NC State has an incredible engineering program, I'm hoping to transfer there after I get the basic classes done at the (very good) community college.

Congrats, but as an ME I have my deepest condolences for your work/life balance, or lack thereof 😂. I just finished a certificate in hybrid and ev vehicles and think I am about done with college. The cost of college these days is way too high. A welding cert would pay more than I make and I'm 5 years into my career and used half my paycheck the last 5 years to pay off loans. Sure opportunities are decent, but you're at the whim of corporate woke agenda's these days. Guess you can say the grass is always greener. Best of luck on school, and great looking truck! Been following this build for a while now.
 
One thing more about getting your education instead of staying in blue-collar, there will be a time in your life when your body will not be able to do the things you need it to do to earn a living. I have friends at church who were once building contractors, e.g. masonry, framing, etc. and in their 40's they were seeing that although they were making good money, they're bodies were starting to feel the decades of physical labor. So many of them went into getting their licenses as building inspectors working for the city, which saved their bodies and are now able to work till retirement.

With an education, having your body fail will never happen (unless your mind goes o_O)! If you want, whenever you retire, if you should want some extra income or you just really enjoy "engineering" you can always do contract work as an independent engineer. I have my own license of SolidWorks (yes, a purchased license) and it's paid for itself may times over doing contract work out of my home. I'll do contract work sometimes when I'm between jobs.
There will always be people with ideas that need someone with knowledge and experience to help make their ideas come to fruition, and often, they will pay well, or small start-up companies looking for a little engineering help but don't have the budget to hire one direct.

Just some thoughts.
 
So, no big surprise here for many here, but I think that the factory taillights look absolutely terrible. I think that the Prado tails look a little bit better, but not much. The Sport Design "scarlet" tail lamps certainly look better, but I don't know if I want to spend ~$900 for new ones. Most aftermarket ones I've seen aren't particularly attractive to me either.

However, I was running across GX460Allen's thread and he had these taillights.

Safe to say, I think that they're the best-looking tails that I've seen on a GX so far. This is the link he got them from, however I was able to find them cheaper on Alibaba. I'm VERY strongly considering getting these, however I'm told that around the '16 model year the connectors for the lamps changed. Does anyone have any solid insight on this? I've tried searching but haven't gotten a conclusive answer. I'd rather buy some adapters than cut up my harnesses for, let's be real, a product that is of questionable quality.
