OH and for those in Austin I AM GOING TO BE THERE Saturday. Probably at Brian's this time though since he is dumping his 2F in I figure I could lend a hand for a little bit. I need to get a truck over to JK Customs for a cut and turn but after that it is on. Finally get to meet everyone!! So ML that is where you get to see the unvailing of the Ghost!![/QUOTE]

Ok, see you at Brian's. What time? I do have a prior committment at 2pm, so anytime before 1pm or so I'll be there. Randy, do you have any 'teaser' video on how the Ghost sounds now or do I have to wait?

I will post a teaser after work tomorrow. Maybe one of the locker engaging on dry pavement or something really offensive to my neighbors!:flipoff2:

No problem I will be there early.

Wish I had friends...me, I gotta be my own cool club. Setting my own trends.

Then what are we?? If you ever come to DFW or Austin you'd see you had a lot of friends! So where is the Baconator at? Still garaged and waiting for it's owner to show some love?

zr1 engine

pardon the hijack,i've been pondering the idea of a zr1 corvette engine in a cruiser, since i really love the way this engine looks i think it would make the cruiser stand out.the last year made was putting out 405 horses and i just heard they have a new zr1 coming out(that is sweet).if i could find an engine (used)how possible is it to get a harness and adapters for it,would an h55f hold up or better yet go w/ an nv4500?hijack ends here. thank you for your patience,:D.john

The aluminum-block power plant — standard in coupe and convertible — produces an SAE-certified 430 horsepower @ 5900 rpm and 424 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4600 rpm. Power output is even higher with the available dual-mode exhaust system with 436 hp @ 5900 rpm and 428 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4600 rpm. Yet the LS3 6.2L engine achieves a remarkable EPA estimated MPG 16 city, 26 highway with the standard six-speed manual transmission. Even with its impressive performance, the engine does not incur a federal government gas-guzzler penalty.
This is the available engine for 2009

Since you are in the Republic of Ca. it would need all emissions attached. I would bet that it could be adapted to the H55. Block should maintain the 6.0 configuration. Flywheel and clutch would need to be looked at. As for the ECU and harness I know exactly who could do that. Mounts would need fabrication and depending on the exhaust manifolds, and oil pan I would say,"HELLLLL YEAH!! !" So when are you trailering your rig up here?

Last of the hijack...

This is what I want to put in a cruiser!

2009_Corvette_ZR1_LS9_V8.jpg

The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 made its world debut at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show and the numbers are staggering, to say the least. With an estimated 620 horsepower and 595 pound-feet of torque from the all-new LS9 engine, the new ZR1 is easily the most powerful Corvette ever put into production. It's powered by a 6.2-liter version of the familiar Chevy small-block V8, fitted with an intercooled Roots-type supercharger from Eaton and mated to a new close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox with dual-disc clutch. A low curb weight of 3,350 pounds gives the new ZR1 a better power-to-weight ratio than such high-priced, 12-cylinder Italian exotics as the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and the Lamborghini Murcilago LP640. Chevy boss Ed Peper claims the ZR1 will be "the first production Corvette to achieve a top speed of at least 200 mph." Built on the same basic chassis as the Corvette Z06, the ZR1 gets standard magnetic selective ride control with track-level suspension and is capable of pulling better than 1g on the skid pad. The torque tube and half-shafts have been beefed up to handle the additional power, and Chevy has fitted carbon-ceramic brake rotors and larger calipers. The ZR1 rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires - 285/30ZR-19s in front and 335/25ZR-20s in the rear - mounted on 20-spoke alloy rims painted in bright sterling silver. Chrome wheels are one of only two options on the car. The cockpit is surprisingly low-key, considering the car's target price of just under $100,000. There are a number of pieces from the Z06, accented with a specific ZR1 gauge cluster, including a 220-mph speedo and a boost gauge, plus logo sill plates and embroidered headrests. Chevy isn't saying yet just how many ZR1s it will build, but does note that each car will carry a sequential build number and a special VIN that will identify it as a ZR1.
:grinpimp: Thought that was some good cruiser porn :flipoff2:

The fact that people are willing to drive to Irving -- I think that speaks volumes about your work Randy. Before the Ghost, I would never take any of my cars to someone in a different town, especially someone I have never met before. I am really glad I did though...YOUR WORK IS AWESOME.
