After many many nights up late workin on my cruiser and 4 turbos later I have found the one that works the best. This is an HY35 and it notice significant improvment. I am borowing my buddies Gforce meter later today and I will be able to see how much horsepower at the rear wheels I am actually putting out. I still need to install my grainger valve because right now I cannot rev super high without over boosting, this means when I hit my next gear I am revving to low. But anyway here are som pictures of it under the hood.

Hey Napolean.... I mean Diesel Dude,
What manifold did you use on that turbo, and was the flipped Mitsu turbo combo the simplest?
Thanks,
Deny

edit- oh ya, which was the cheapest? not that I'm poor or any thing.

that looks pretty tight, I just don't like the K&N style filters, the reason I lost faith in the filter that you never have to replace is, I had one on my quad for a few years, I took it off to clean it and held it up to the light and you could see light right through it. I thought man that must filter really good, might as well use paper towel with pin holes in it, soaked in oil. Was there no way to use the stock air filter setup?

The HY35, is that a holset? is that a cummins turbo? I thought it would be too large and come on too late. Due to the size being so large.

Do tell more. this experimenting must have been a lot of work.

That is a stock flipped manifold, with a 90 degree elbow attached to it which puts the turbo kinda beside it I made a brace that goes from the bellhousing to the turbo so that the turbo isnt hanging off of the manifold. This also means that there is NO way to use the stock airfilter. This will definetly cost more than the mitsu turbo and it is very very much so harder to install. This turbo is off of a cummins but only the automatics and it is almost too small for a cummins since the majoprity of the use a 18cm exhaust housing and this is a 9 cm exhaust housing, these turbo are easy to find if you knoe where to look because due to there small nature many many cummins people looking for more power go to a bigger turbo right off the bat.

So what are the other turbos you tried out and if you could rank them.

I'll buy your old mitsu intake?

I would rank them
1. HY35 (9cm exhaust housing)
2. HC1 Holset 12cm exhaust housing
3. Mistsubishi ( off of D-50)
4. Mistubishi ( off of lebaron)

This is the order of performance not ease of istallation. The HY35 was rather time consuming.
I havnt tried the different Garrett turbos off of the lebaron but they look like realativly the same size.

These are only what I have found if you have a system or turbo that you feel works perfectly then by all means stick with what you like. I have tryed a few turbos and i am only posting my findings feel free to take my information or leave it, I know lots of people really like the garret turbos off of lebarons and if you do then go with that. I have had a few PM were people were telling me what they thought and i am not here to force you to change your outlook I do speak from some experience but I am not an expert by any means.
Cheers

I don;t know my ass from my elbow when it comes to picking a turbo, so I don't mean to contradict your choice...just noting the prevailing popularity of the T3.

Diesel Dude, can you describe how you rigged up an oil supply to the turbo? Does it involve drilling into the block?

Also, you have the K&N running from left to right across the engine into the turbo, is this to keep it away from the turbo itself? Why not just draw air from the right and eliminate all that accordian tubing?

Ill be at the meeting on wednesday with the cruiser. I used a tee into the block were the oil pressure sender bolts on this will give the pressure oil then I welded a fitting on to the oil pan to usa as a drain. I couldnt fit any sort of a air filter beside the turbo unless I did somthing with the battery as well the air beside the turbo would be rather hot. And Wes ya you can buy my intake sure ill get a price for ya ill pull the bill and see what it cost to make it do you want the fitting welded on for the boost gauge?

Sure.. what I'm still could really use is that intake piece and that longer bolt for the banjo.
