It’s not looking good for a removable roof, but a roll down rear window has always been one of the best hatch configs. Now will a 4runner hatch fit on a LC250 or GX?

Some GREAT in-depth technical analysis here...

saw this posted before the official announcement tonight

I don’t hate it! I think it looks like todays style.

Same. That tan is going to be hard to get. Please let it be just the 4 cylinder turbo and NOT the hybrid. Is a manual trans too much to hope for?!?

I'd rather have a Trekker. 100/100

I’d be fine with the hybrid. 4 Cylinder turbo hybrid would be the s***! Torque from the electric motor horsepower from the turbos hell yeah!

I skimmed the Forbes article that released early before it got pulled, I saw options for both the turbo 4cyl and the iForce hybrid, both mated to the same 8spd auto in the taco and LC

Here's a link to a copy of the article

The hybrid numbers are awesome! Like 325 hp and 465 ftlbs!?! That’s crazy! Lots of available cool features.

However, the angle of the a-pillar and windshield evokes Subaru outback and now I can’t stop seeing it, lol.

Styling is pretty solid in my opinion, but I've learned to never get the first model year after a major styling/drivetrain redesign...happy to let everyone else take the premium $ hit and find out what the quirks may be. I know that my 5th gen '21 that I just picked up may be a dated design/motor, but I'm loving it as my daily and hopefully won't be in the market for a replacement for 12-15 years... :steer:

Sound and looks solid. Not sure it’s a on par to slay the Heep or Bronco. Don’t get me wrong I think it will out last and perform better than both of them, but with out a topless version it’s just a new 4Runner. I think Mr. T has been listening with some of the features and Tech. I do agree with the first year of redesign but it may be the time to pull the trigger on a new car for the wife.

Also saw Kurt mention the 4Runner will have the smaller 8.2 diff in some configurations vs the other platforms having the 9.5. That’s an interesting difference as I haven’t seen other differences between the drivetrains across the platforms

Edit: and the LC250 is 5 inches taller than the 4Runner. That’s pretty awesome for the 4runner, I’ll have to sit in both to judge.

Does that infer some 4R configs will get the 9.5 rear diff? That'd be tough.
