Pearl pass still a no go with out some shoveling. This was my first time up. Slippery rock always scared me but two repositions and up we go.

Hopewell Lake, New Mexico

This was the closest I got to "off-road" this past weekend with a camping/fishing trip to Hopewell Lake, near Tierra Amarilla, NM.

Took a long drive/family camping trip to and through Glacier National Park.

Couldn't resist a poser shot somewhere in Wyoming...

...or a glamor shot, this one on the edge of the Tetons

Wishing I had a bullbar, or maybe bisonbar.

Camping at Kintla Lake in the north west (no relation) corner of Glacier NP

Drove the Going to the Sun Road

Didn't park here

Drove into, but didn't cross this river. When the water hit the trim on the doors in the shallow part, I thought about the cost of towing.

Had to let someone else drive the 100 at some point...

my 2000 Crusher, 220K on her and runnin strong

Here is my 2000, I love it and never tire of driving it, burns zero oil between 5K mile oil changes with full synthetic, has original transmission which shifts better than any vehicle I ever owned. I am a service manager at a large Toyota dealer in NJ and aquired this truck in a very lucky way. After the former owner stripped the front cv joint spline cap, I gave him the estimate to fix and do the front brakes. He said I am looking for a new car and offered me the truck for 1500.00 I told him how bout $500 and he said ok. I guess he had more money than he knew what to do with but in the end I got a 2000 Landcruiser with 163K on it for 500.00 Hard to believe and I still am baffled by it every time I drive it. I am planning on holding onto her for many more years. This truck rocks!

You... You must be joking... That's barely more than the cost of an entirely new CV axle! I think you just got the bargain of the millenium, sir. Enjoy the hell out of her and put what you didn't spend on the truck into modifications :p

Yeah I know it is totally ridiculous, it was like hitting the lottery. The best part is the PO just put 4 new michelins on, rear brakes and new muffler and center pipe as well as all the diffs serviced! ! I guess he got fed up after spending all that the month before and then having to fix it again. I took the Cruiser and ran and never looked back!

Ancient road excursion near Woodstock, VT. This road was plush grass cut to 8 inches in a large rolling mountainside meadow with country cottages(read manses!) as a backdrop. I also followed a few rocky paths into class 4 roads, but didn't push it with street tires, being 1000 miles from home and another week ahead in Maine.

Spotted these two at the Hessie trailhead today.

Took a little day trip out to the country yesterday and found a nice trail spot, nothing very technical at all. But then again, I didn't nearly explore the entire area!

There was one small hill climb, but I didn't want to push anything since I was alone out in the middle of nowhere!

This spot was about as technical as things got

On the way home I couldn't help but notice how far away from ATL I truly was...
