Trip was a muddy mess, but the motel was flawless. I saw a peak of 820w of solar generation, and something like 8 or 9 total kwh generated on the road. Pretty ****in good.

Sun shade is pretty nice too:
Had some friends bring stickers to the event, and sticker bombed the door. This was the vision all along, since I couldn't find a color-matched door for the skins I bought, way back when I did reskin. Looks damn good IMO.
Aftermath. The interior needs some love, lol.

Revealed one issue though. Turns out with tanks full going out (fuel and water), I'm knocking on the door of being over capacity on my trailer axles. Might need to extend the trailer and stick another axle in there.
I wonder what that would do to your turning ability, needs to be a hydraulic drop axle

Should be fine, but definitely not as nimble. Triaxle enclosed gooses and travel trailers are a thing already.

Yeah I've seen them before, especially for car hauling trailers that have stackers.
I got that one with my order for the new driveshafts on my 60. I was waiting for the right spot to put it. The motel seemed fitting!
would it not be easier to just upgrade the 2 axles that are there, in the current locations?

You can get 8000# rated axles, but that won't leave me with enough capacity. I haven't finished building this out is the problem, so it will get heavier.
In addition, the longer length will let me put more weight on the truck too, by moving the truck farther forward of the axle set.
I think you can get 10k oil bath trailer axles but you definitely have the right idea of putting more on the truck, it needs it.
This thread needs more axle guitar! Great job on the solar install.
