Jesus, quite giving Elsie the left overs. I guess we could build a lift to get her in & out ?
Fireguy broke his trailer on the way home, not much else to report unless someone knows why the Knorr boys needed a welder as soon as they pulled in ?

Started putting the new plug wires on . These should last the life of this 40 . 🙏. The ceramic boots seem to be really nice 🤷‍♂️. Sent my diff to East Coast Gear supply And new 4 core Radiator should be here tomorrow. I got the 4 core champion that is Rated to 600hp . I also ordered a rear seat from Mastercraft that matches my front seats . Think I will pull the top off this Sunday

I think I would still put some fire sleeve on the wires. They look like they will still cook. Are you able to reuse the ceramic ends if you ever need to make a new set of wires?

I have not had any problems with the wires themselves . I honestly have no idea if i can pull the ceramic boots off . I hope i do not need to find out either .

How bad was it overheating ? what did the diff look like ?
was not overheating but would get up to about 213 on long climbs Diff lol it umm ya

Last night I was able to install the new radiator and I finished installing the other 4 plug wires . My differential probably will not be back untill the end of this week more than likely first part of next week. . I am going to pull the hard top off and work on my half doors this week .

That’s the exact same radiator and fan I installed for the 6.0 LS, it’s kept it cool. Hopefully your filler neck is straight, mine was so crooked I had to cut it off and re-weld it.

The fan is great but it sounds like a small plane taking off when it’s running, pretty noisy. I installed an AutoCool fan controller so it’s not running 100% flat out constantly.

And…. It’s kept that motor cool at some pretty high rpms 🤷‍♂️

My fan is tied into the Sniper so it cycles off and on at set temps . i have only be able to let i idle. but it has been great so far .

I had mine controlled by the ECM so it was cycling based on engine temps, probably similar to the Sniper setup. The fan is pulling nearly 23 amps (at least mine was) running all out. With a variable controller like the AutoCool, you get a “soft start” so no big amperage spikes on your electrical system when that fan kicks on.

Yes same it runs on Engine temp

Came home to this 🤬. Really !! Someone is getting an earful first thing in the morning . To top it off they did not send anything with the new ARB. Nothing zero zip 🤷‍♂️. Come on
