Dang. @JohnVee

spelling was. Never my strong point. Just saying.

Anyone else wear a vest while carrying to help with imprinting ? This lanky guy is looking for options. Any additional advice options welcomed.

New to the carry game so I don't have much to offer. Eat more?? I'm 6'3" ~200ish and have been carrying appendix. For the most part, the butt print is minimal... I think I have been hyper-sensitive to it and worrying too much about it??

New parts!! Hopeful that the host arrives today...

I intend to put a suppressor on mine and carry it IWB at 12:30 tucked down my leg, and wink at everyone who notices my imprinting... lol

Do they make circumcised supressors?

Nobody is more aware of a slight imprint than you. The paranoia that everyone knows you’re carrying starts going away the more you do it. Not sure about your style of dress, but you can modify it to better fit the carry “lifestyle”...e.g. sighlty larger shirt cuts, patterns that would confuse the eye / camouflage any slight imprinting.

I’m 6’ and 225, so close-ish to you... I can carry a full size 1911 and not be noticeable if I wanted. Comfortably sitting down in a chair or car becomes a different discussion though!!!

You need an entourage or a posse to draw attention away from the hand cannon in your pants @FJ Noob that applies to you too. 1911 is HUGE BABY.

I didn’t say I did carry a 1911, just that I can 😉 As
much as I love a good 1911, I’m not a fan of the weight on my belt all day. That’s where I’ll opt for something a little more modern and polymer.

Does anybody else remember laughing till they ran out of snot when Eminem got busted because his pistol fell down the leg of his pants? His SWEATPANTS!!! ****ing Mexican carry (not racist, look it up) with elastic waistband pants. Genius.

I went to the range last Thursday night to practice with my carry gun. First trigger pull = BANG, second trigger pull = CLICK. Tried everything but was not seeing any strikes on the primer. I bought my Sig P365 in April of 2018 and knew the early ones had some issues but mine had the green dot front sight, a supposed indication of the 2nd batch that were vetted. Call Sig first thing Friday morning and a human in America answered. Within minutes I had a pre-paid label in my inbox. I dropped it off at lunch and got an email last night that it delivers tomorrow... WOW. That is customer service!!
It is disconcerting to know my striker broke but it's almost reassuring at the same time. I've wondered all this time: "does mine have the early 365 issues??". Now I know it did and its been fixed.

I've found a couple holster options that work. I've worn around the house to get comfortable with carrying. @Wake County - I'm just waiting on you!!

Put in an order for a Kimber Micro 9 and a few days later local Gun shop let me know they got in a couple models unexpectedly and i would have priority if interested...even though they weren’t what I desired, I went ahead and purchased as no confirmation as to when my order will get fulfilled....

Great carry weapon. Congrats! My wife has a stainless with rosewood grips and mine is all black with stainless barrel. I have large hands and it is perfect for a two finger grip with pinky under the mag. Very smooth shooter. I carry apendix OWB and the only time I know it is there is in the car.

FYI - Ultra liberal in-laws that were all for gun control and anti gun.... now have ccp and each have their own hand guns. "Trumpers" was the reason. lol. So crazy to think that the media can get someone to completely change their long held beliefs through a simple fear equation.

Not get too political, but I hope they're pretty happy that they still have the right and ability to take the precautions they feel are needed to defend themselves from a political party that that they believe is exercising power and influencing people in a way that their own political party doesn't agree with. I also applaud them for acknowledging the fact that the police are not intended to be a de facto rapid response protection team serving every single US citizen the instant they are needed, nor are they meant to be used to quash the right of the people to stand up and speak for themselves.

I also hope that they find joy in the activity of punching holes in paper or cans, and the satisfaction of maintaining and keeping another tool among their possessions.

Unless they're nut jobs. Then they shouldn't have guns. (That's the only humor or sarcasm intended outside of this otherwise serious post.)

They do enjoy the target shooting which is good. Here's the rub:

They don't carry. They leave them at home. They also live deep in the middle of a gated community in the boonies with 24/7 guards at the gate. Not exactly home invasion land...

Their little tiny dog got mauled by what appears to have been an abandoned pitbull with puppies a couple of days ago at a rest stop off the highway. Apparently they saw the dog was emaciated and they went back to the car to get something to feed it. Before they knew it, Pitbull's on their pups. She lived... but barely. No weapon on them, they punched and kicked this pittbull that had their little dog's HEAD in it's mouth. But as you know they don't really like to unlock those jaws.

He called animal control after they got her free and at the animal hospital, but not after his wife had to talk him out of going back to "finish this" with his gun. My guess is he'll be carrying from now on.
